Stopped in during our visit to Fredericksburg. Nice little place we ate the dish with the Snitzel and bratwurst with a sausage, red cabbage and sauerkraut with a super friendly atmosphere. Great service loved the owner. We definitely recommend this as a stop on your time in Fredricksburg. They had other options not just German as well. So if the family is not all sold on German cuisine and you want other options this is a good choice. The wurst was good but not the best I've had here in Fredricksburg. Overall a solid place worth a stop. The red cabbage though is on point. I could eat that with every meal.

Wonderful place for breakfast. Loved the ambiance and the food was delicious! Great service too. Very friendly! We will be back. And we did! We started our spring break with breakfast here and ended our week with breakfast here. Best place ever!

Absolutely terrible. I am German and this is the worst schnitzel I have ever had hands down. Absolutely no taste whatsoever. Beer selection was mediocre at best. Service was terrible as well with one of our main dishes arriving 10 minutes after everyone else finished.

This place went downhill within the past few years with their food. The turkey & bacon melt was disgusting (bacon tasted old, turkey tasted old and processed) and the only fresh thing was the bread. The chips it came with tasted old as well. The cooks behind the bar were unprofessional and looked like they did not follow proper health and safety protocols handling food. Would not recommend this place with the current food quality and food for the price. This is surprising considering they used to be better but they need to do a quality check to better the quality of their food.

The Weiner Schnitzel was tough, it hadn't been tenderize. The side portions were small. The waitstaff was nice, the cellar was quaint.

What a disappointment. We all had the Wiener Schnitzel. I ordered a cup of soup as appetizer. Soup was served when they brought the Schnitzels for everybody else. We were hoping for a crisp Schnitzels. Instead we all got a soaky piece of meat. The red cabbage was low quality grocery store quality and the potato salad was not eatable. I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my schnitzel and only after reminding the staff that they forgot me. Hind-side I should have just passed on the Schnitzel. The location is actually great and the restaurant itself is nice. But all this doesn’t help when the food sucks.
Restaurant is advertised as dog friendly but that is not accurate.

It’s in the basement of an old hospital but our server told us the building was only 17 years old. lol. We got the soup, hamburger and a salad. Good was okay. Cool ancient building!
