The Saloon is an authentic neighborhood bar that takes you back to the 1800s. The ambiance is very Texas, featuring a long wood bar. The service is always great and friendly, with drinks at a relatively good price. Offerings include frozen margaritas and Jack and Coke on draft, dollar hot dogs, and frito pie. Drinks like a whiskey sour made with honeysuckle rye and egg whites are very good. The place occasionally has live music and is great for talking to locals.
