One of our first stops when visiting Fredericksburg is always Salvation Spirits. Of all the family and friends I have taken here, they all say it's their favorite place by far. The atmosphere is unmatched. One of the most laid back and relaxing places in town. Tyler is amazing and is always such a gracious host. If you have questions about any of the drinks he will give you a great description of what to expect and is always helpful on giving suggestions. He's never been wrong. I can't recommend The Speakeasy at Salvation Spirits highly enough. A must stop when visiting Fredericksburg!!!! A+++++

Don’t miss! Great place for memorable drinks. Mixologist (Chris?) and server, Kevin, were very knowledgeable and provided recommendations that did not disappoint. I enjoyed The Astrid and Old Fashion while the rest of my group tried others. None disappointed us. You are also able to taste their spirits and purchase bottles to fly back home with (what we did). Oh, and the bathrooms with fabulous wallpaper were selfie worthy. Just don’t forget to make a reservation to get in!

Super fun for a drink or several in hill country! Make a reservation and hang out for a while.

Fantastic experience. Interesting staff that is vested in artisanal spirits and handmade drinks and a handmade experience. Keep fighting the fine fight gents!

Let me start by saying The Speakeasy comp'd our (group of 10) drinks.  We did tip the waiter, but he was part of the problem to begin with.We had made a reservation for 10 at 6:30.  They told us we might have to sit outside, but thought they could work us into inside and definitely could if we split into at least 2 groups. As we started arriving... we were seated outside and told if room became available, we could come inside.  At the time...it did not look full and looked to me to be at least 2 areas that could have held 10 of us.Anyway outside we went and the manager came and started 2 propane overhead heaters....I asked him if the bottles were full...and he said YES.As others showed up, they wanted to see what the inside looked like...and 2 ladies  were treated very rudely and in a very  condescending tone.....by a bartender and OUR waiter. We'd been there all of 10 minutes, and most of us wanted to just leave.  THEN one of the "full" propane tanks....ran empty so we lost half our heat....We really wanted to leave, but decided we would stay and try one of their signature/craft cocktails....priced from $19 down to $15.   Can you just get a shot of Jack...NO, how about a beer (any beer)...NO, how, about a glass of wine....NO.  Their signature cocktails made with THEIR own distilled Gin or Vodka....Salvation Spirits.  A Manhattan or Old Fashioned made with Gin or vodka....some of our group decided it was OK...nothing to brag about and nobody liked it enough to order another.  My wife and I went the simple route....a Dirty Martini...Vodka, vermouth and olive juice.  First observation the pours were skimpy....and for $15 @#$% skimpy.  Second observation...its hard to fubar a Dirty Martini...but the Speakeasy Mixologist did it times 2.  I took a couple sips....and pitched it out.  My wife finally finished hers.....All in all, none of the 10 had a decent time. Most said the Salvation Spirits liquor wasn't worth drinking.  Everybody left in a sour mood, wanting for a fun place with good liquor, some of us left not only in a sour mood, but with bad tastes on our toungues...we all went back to our place and had good liquor we'd brought with us.Don't waste your time and hard earned money on The Speakeasy and Salvation Spirits.  Can you imagine what this would have been had our drinks not been comp'd?

We had a reservation that they put us outside, which was cold and windy, even after the place was empty. They weren’t friendly, didn’t explain why we had to stay outside, just plain rude. Not worth the $15 drinks! Some drinks were ok but not all of them. They did comp our drinks after each one of us (10 total) but the damage was done by then.

Best place to hang out!

Very cool cocktail bar with innovative drinks. They don't have whisky but offer great alternatives. Small indoor space so book ahead. We had an issue getting seated for our reservation right away but they made it right quickly. It has a good atmosphere, overall a nice experience.

You better like GIN. I didn't know this and all the serve is GIN. I HATE GIN. LOL This place is small maybe 10 tables or less. I tried my best to like a few drinks. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you're close by this place is cool to stop in and check out once. I don't see any reason to go more than once. Ambiance and decor is really cool.

Salvation Speakeasy exceeded my expectations! The espresso martini was exceptional--truly one of the best I've ever had. The staff's personable and friendly service added a level to the experience.

An amazing cocktail experience just outside Fredericksburg. The blackberry gin martini is off the charts. It was so good, I grabbed two bottles before leaving. Salvation is perfect for small gatherings or special events. A big thanks to Trey for taking care of us!

If you like amazing cocktails and a speakeasy vibe, do yourself a favor and go!! My wife and I are a big fan of cocktails, so we were excited when this place was recommended by an employee of the Fredericksburg Visitor Bureau. We went in the middle of the day with a few friends. Loved the ambiance of the place and the staff was super friendly and attentive. We did a sample tasting of each of their liquors and were so impressed, we bought one of each to bring home. The cocktails were beautifully crafted and delicious (wish I had thought to take pictures). We love this place and will definitely return the next time we're in town for a visit.

Delicious drinks -best ever craft cocktails! Great ambiance and speakeasy feel . The staff were friendly and dressed in period clothing . They are able to accommodate any size party as long as you make a reservation. They are required . Fun place overall !

We have been to Salvation Spirits on numerous occasions since their opening. Everyone we have taken there has absolutely LOVED it. The atmosphere is dark and cozy, just like a speakeasy. Beautifully appointed decor. The owners are hands-on and very personable, as well as the rest of the staff. We always love the cocktails and they make all of their own spirits. Deliciousness. They often have live music on the patio. This is a "must try" Fred experience! Five stars every time.
