I definitely wasn’t expecting much at first, but this superseded all my expectations. While this kind of restaurant would be considered “fast food” back in Japan, the quality of the food my wife and I got was so much better.I am also happy that the (I assume) owner / manager spoke Japanese to myself and my wife (she’s from Tokyo). This went over very well with both of us, and we will certainly be back to frequent this place.

I simply loved it!! The food was soo yummy, service was great, good vibe overall. We got the egg in creamy mushroom curry and spicy fried chicken curry. 10/10 for both. Be aware of the spice level though, we had fun experimenting with it, but their food does get spicy if you go higher in the spice level. We will definitely visit again.Vegetarian options: Loads of vegetarian options and great taste.

Went to the Frisco, Texas location. It was delicious, just like we remembered from Okinawa. The curry was delicious and they even had the authentic sesame salad dressing. YUM!Wish they sold the curry sauce and bottles of dressing. We would have stocked up.We absolutely had a great time. Staff there was very friendly and accommodating. We give them 10/10 stars!!!Please consider opening one in Savannah, Georgia! — with Russ Stigall and 2 others.

It truly lives up to being a curry specialized house! I think I’m capable of handling spiciness. But today I tried only level three and it was almost too much for me! Kids menu was good as well. Just enough food for kids with lots of side dishes like mini corndogs, chicken nugget, corns, and fries. Everything kids could ask for.

In comparison to the Coco I’ve been overseas, they did a tremendous job of bringing a taste of home to the states! Brought my girlfriend here as well and she loved it! Service was great too! Highly recommend!

Mike the owner is very down to earth and takes the time to talk with the guests there. He even takes orders and runs food himself. I can tell his heart is definitely in the restaurant, and he has trained his staff very well to be friendly and responsive. Food was a delight as well, and is the closest thing you can get to cocos in Japan. I will definitely be making the hour drive again soon!Kid-friendliness: Great menu for little kids. My son is only 16 months and I was worried he wasn’t going to like what they had there. Little did I know they had an amazing menu for toddlers consisting of chicken nuggets, fries, Mac n cheese, with a side of curry and rice! Very accommodating.

It doesn't taste exactly the same as the franchise in Japan, but it was still AMAZING. You won't find better Japanese curry in the United States.Do's and Don'ts:-Don't try to show off and go HAMF on their spice levels. Most of us who like spicy mexican food can handle a level 2 or 3. They have a level ten and you WILL puke.-Don't steal their adorable spoons! They have them for sale at the register at check out. ?-Do join the waitlist on yelp. It's a small dining area, and it's always packed.-Do try the chicken cutlet curry with cheese!Kid-friendliness: Highchairs are available

My first visit to CoCo Ichibanya! We had tried coming here on weekends but it's always quite crowded. When you enter, you hear the familiar Japanese greetings, welcoming you to the restaurant. We had a Chicken Cutlet Curry along with Mushroom toppings, and a Spicy Teriyaki Fried Chicken Curry. Both of them were splendidly awesome! And they were spicy!! ?The service was quite good too.Overall, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ food and service!!!

We traveled far for this very authentic happy Japanese curry dishes. The flavor was on point, authentic, and overall delicious. It just hit all the right spots and tasted just like if we were in Japan. Only negative sides are the price is sky high for such a simple dish and it is as expected heavy food.

Fast food Thai style with many options and spicyness levels. We were taken care of very well and very pleased with portions, prices, and quality. I believe this is the only location in Texas, and one of a very small locations in the US, but they are a chain in Thailand that people really enjoy and travel to visit here.
