All the dishes at Hunan Chef are balanced and all taste good as well. The service from the employees are always fast and are friendly. The atmosphere is family-friendly and is comfortable for everybody. Hunan Chef is overall a great restaurant and gives a great dining experience for everyone.

I think Hunan Chef has changed ownership or management lately. Their service and food have been totally different from before. Now their service is the best service I have experienced compared with other restaurants I dined in. Authentic Hunan style food. Warm, welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Big clean nice table was perfect for 7 dishes that we usually ordered. They even helped pack the leftover dishes for us to take to go when we checked out. Hunan Chef at Frisco is definitely a top notch Chinese restaurant.

I came here at 1:11 PM, and it wasn’t very busy. However, no one gave us a menu or offered any drinks.
My family and I were ignored many times. Meanwhile, other tables were warmly and enthusiastically greeted because they spoke Chinese?
Maybe it was because I can’t speak Chinese, or because I’m not Chinese, but I clearly noticed a discriminatory attitude toward my family. Only one male staff member came to assist us, and even then, the service was not very attentive or friendly.
Even though the food was average and the dining area was clean and airy, the service attitude completely ruined the experience.
They didn’t check on us or make us feel welcome at all. I will never come back.

Second time visiting, and it was just as good as the first! The food is amazing, they have lotta vegetarian options I really like it. the atmosphere is pleasant, and the servers are very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!
