La Hacienda Ranch in Frisco is certainly a gem. Down the street from the Stonebrier mall, it's unassuming. But you can tell there's something special. The parking lot is always full for a reason. This place was obviously a destination before the mall existed. The first thing you smell is the smoke from the grill. When you enter, you're propelled immediately to the old west. Food was outstanding. Service not so much. It started great but dwindled towards the end. We asked for sugar substitute, more chips, etc. and ended up waiting and waiting. Our drinks were not refreshed. Didn't have any small plates for our guacamole. Overall, it's fine.
