Just a pleasant surprise. Visiting my sick daughter and did not feel like cooking. Using OpenTable I checked available seating in the area. Parking was not the most convenient, I parked on the street a couple of blocks away. Started the meal with crispy asparagus, which was outstanding, as was the server. My daughter's chemo and other meds made her indecisive and even difficult to follow her thought pattern. once we ordered the food presentation was good. Pretty plate was uttered by both my wife and daughter. Overall, a good meal.

Service was excellent overall. The food was hit or miss. The chicken sandwich and burger were both very good, and the fried asparagus really stood out. On the downside, the French fries were overcooked and almost burnt, the meatballs were dry and tough to cut, and the grilled chicken was small and forgettable.

David, our waiter, was awesome and helped us find something that delighted our daughter who has some food sensitivities. It was a great Christmas dinner!!

The service was wonderful and fast. Everyone was on top of making us feel so special. Not our first time to eat here and won't be our last. This is not your typical hotel restaurant!

The food and bar staff were excellent, however our waiter forgot about our table for 20-30 minutes. We would've had another round of drinks if not for the wait.

Chicken fried steak is the best! Also, try the chicken wings for appetizers. Very good and crispy! Also the fried asparagus was very tasty!

One may assume that the restaurant located within the Omni Frisco Hotel is an easy pass, but they would be mistaken. This restaurant has consistently delivered great food, service, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The dining room is well decorated and feels casual during the day, and takes on a more sophisticated and intimate ambiance during the night. The burgers and steaks are always perfectly cooked, and the fries are dangerously good. The breakfast menu is also very solid and has a good variety. Overall I highly recommend this spot in the star!

Good food and location. Two of us got the prime dinner Friday night special. Service wasn’t the best and there were a lot of dirty tables. But once we got our drinks, the service picked up. Would recommend if you want to eat at The Star and want to be nearby the other events in the area/staying at the Omni since it’s in the lobby area connected to the hotel.

Our waitress, Sage was absolutely wonderful. The bartender, Brittney…was absolutely RUDE and absolutely incompetent. She has no place in an atmosphere like this. I literally watched her bully another employee. 25 minutes per drink is quite ridiculous, when you’re just standing there.

Read this BEFORE you dine at Neighborhood Services - Frisco: Made my reservation a week in advance for an outside table to watch the Cowboy's Tree lighting festivities. No issues until I got a call from the restaurant (the day before my reservation) to inform me that there was a $40 minimum per person because of the tree lighting. Mind you there was ZERO info on this on Open Table...but hey it's the Holiday season right? Make it to the restaurant, it's absolute chaos, they don't have enough nearly enough staff to handle the huge crowd. We are seated outside and wait, and wait and wait and wait some more. Did I mention that we are outside, it is freezing and there is one working heater for the entire patio area, but remember there is a $40 minimum to even sit out here. No servers, no one from the restaurant comes out until about 22 minutes later. We order drinks, 15 minutes later we get them...so 37 minutes in we have drinks. There is one waiter for the whole patio! Order food the show starts and finishes, we finally get our food but no silverware or napkins to eat the food. I finally walk in to ask for silverware and start eating, food is obviously cold after the Easter Egg Hunt for the silverware. Do you sense a theme here? Pay full price for cold food, below sub par service and you get to sit in the freezing cold and pay a minimum for the opportunity just to grace the halls of this fine establishment. Final Thoughts: Walk the Star watch the show, go to Lucchese they'll give you a cold beer quickly for FREE and there is no minimum to do so. Plus the boots are cool! Neighborhood Services - Frisco is truly a disspointment, I'd expect better from an Omni partnership.

Loved it. Loved the bar area. Much better vibe than the location in Addison. We will be back.

The little pecan pies you served with Thanksgiving Dinner came from Walmart and cost .87 cents, very deceptive

We had a great meal for Thanksgiving Day at Neighborhood Services. Zach was a very attentive server and took great care of us. The turkey was good but most of us enjoyed the steak frites. Too hard to pass up on the classic. The crispy asparagus was also really good for an appetizer.

Nice atmosphere but the food was not good unfortunately. Kids chicken fingers were burnt and fries were barely warm. Expected more for the price. Only one waitress for entire restaurant at lunchtime and she was visibly rushing back and forth. We won’t come here again.
