Such a disappointing experience. I'll never go back. Having a reservation we still had to wait an hour. 2 families in front of us left because of the reservation situation. The chef has the personality of a brick. Didn't seem to want to be there. Soup came out cold, and our server tried to argue about it. I ordered a rare steak. They didn't even offer to remake it. Reiterated it 3x to make sure he understood. It's well done. The fried rice wasn't good. How do you mess up rice? Overall no flavor. We were rushed out too. The server was talking about her plans after

Tip for the restaurant - don’t take walk ins if it’s going to force you to push back your reservations. Ridiculous - thanks for ruining my NYE
Best sushi and hibachi in town . Came today and really it’s a great place .
Never got to eat and my pants got bleached/ruined from sitting in their chair.
We arrived to a near empty location for a 12 noon (9) person table reservation for hibachi and still had to wait 10 minutes (as if they were not ready yet). Once shown the table immediately everyone noticed a smell of cleaning solutions and some complained about chairs still being wet. The staff assured us the smell was from cleaning the vents overhead (which did look wet still), but the cooking surface metal had a film on it and the vents appeared capable of dripping. I sat down without thinking about it, but the smell was bad enough we left before even placing drink orders. By the time I made it home, I had bleach streaks across my pants seating area. I can't rate the food but the cleaning procedures were questionable to the point of ruining my pants. Not going back.

Absolutely amazing. The appetizers and sushi were delicious and in addition had surprisingly large portions and really good value. The service was great! The hibachi chefs were full of enthusiasm and put on an entertaining show. The food they made was so filling and we couldn’t stop eating it. Never had so much fun at a hibachi. Amazing service, great value and great prices!

Brought the family to Osaka and had a fun time. The food was what you would expect for hibachi food. I’ve honestly never had incredible hibachi food, so this place was actually in the high end of hibachi food for me. The family liked the chicken and shrimp. They weren’t fans of the steak. It was a fun atmosphere with a few people celebrating birthdays. We had a calm hibachi chef while other tables had hibachi chefs who were so into it and performing for their tables that they were in a full sweat. My kids wished we had them as our chef. My recommendation would be that you ask for a table with an energetic chef if you want a WOW experience. Otherwise if people are nervous about the performance, you can just end up with whatever chef. Our guy was alright, but was probably doing this for the last 30 years and wasn’t exactly excited about it.

Good vibes all around. Truly appreciate the team’s effort.
My husband and I have been loyal customers of Osaka about a year now. The food is always amazing, the drinks are fantastic (shoutout to Victoria!!), and we’ve been lucky enough to be served by Faith on multiple occasions. Faith is honestly one of the best servers we’ve ever had anywhere attentive, kind, and always on top of everything. The hibachi chefs, too, are consistently entertaining and make dining here a special experience.
Unfortunately, what has started to ruin our visits is the new manager, Neo. Every time we’ve come in since he started, we’ve witnessed him being shockingly rude and demeaning to his staff right in front of customers. It is not only unprofessional but also extremely uncomfortable to watch while trying to enjoy a meal.
One evening, during a busy dinner rush, Neo was yelling at servers because the drinks “weren’t filled up all the way.” The energy in the room completely shifted. In fact, another family seated nearby even leaned over to ask if we noticed it too it was that obvious. On another visit, as we were leaving, we saw Neo get in the face of the hostess and mock her in a way that felt like middle-school bullying. It was disturbing and humiliating to watch.
We even asked Faith about it once, and she tried to defend him, saying, “Sometimes they just get stressed and nervous, but I promise they mean well.” While we appreciate her kindness, it was clear she was only trying to protect her boss. After coming here so many times, we know this isn’t just stress it’s a repeated pattern of behavior.
Osaka is a restaurant we’ve always loved, but it’s getting harder and harder to return when we have to watch employees be belittled by their own manager. There is no reason for anyone especially leadership to treat hardworking staff this way. We miss the old manager, Michael, who knew how to run this restaurant with respect, professionalism, and warmth. Until things change, we don’t know if we can keep coming back.
