I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent experience with your hiring process, which I found to be exceptionally unprofessional. Here is a summary of the timeline and events:

January 21: Applied for the position.
January 22: Received a message about available interview schedules. I replied promptly.
January 26: After four days, I received a reply asking about scheduling an interview.
January 27: Midway through trying to schedule the interview, there were significant delays in response times, resulting in a scheduled interview for January 29.
January 29: Attended the interview and was informed that the posted pay for the job was incorrect stating up to $17 but they only offer $10.50 to start. I got the job and would be notified of my start date the following week.
Beginning of the week: No communication received regarding the schedule. I reached out on Monday for an update with no response.
Friday: After five days without a reply, I asked again for an update.
February 8: Finally received a message stating that the position had been filled despite being told I had secured the job and was awaiting a start date.

This has been the most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered while seeking employment. The prolonged communication delays and getting the job then a week later they hired someone else have left a negative impression of your company's hiring process. If such inefficiency and lack of professionalism are present during the hiring process, I am concerned about the level of professionalism within the job and overall service at this location.

I urge you to consider a drastic overhaul of your hiring process to ensure timely, clear, and respectful communication with candidates. I would be happy to assist with improving this process, should you be interested in my help.

And yes this impacts customer experience. I was one. If any candidates are customers and are treated like this I don't know what to tell you. Competitors? Something to consider.

Update 9/17/24 - I did contact contact the corporate smoothie king feedback team at contactus.smoothiekingfeedback.com and their response was that the owner of this franchise location has not responded to corporate’s repeated outreach to resolve a customer complaint.

Original - I had a really disappointing experience with Smoothie King on Preston Rd in Frisco, TX. I accidentally placed an order at this location and immediately called to cancel before they made it. The staff member said, "Give me one second" and then hung up on me. I called again, and she admitted she forgot about my request. Then she told me I couldn’t get a refund because her manager wasn’t there, but they could handle it in a few days.

I reached out to corporate, who assured me the franchise management would call me, but I never received any follow-up from the store, despite corporate reaching out to them multiple times. Overall, this was a very poor customer service experience.

I received the absolute worst service from Dalila this am.(4/16/24 9am)...So much can be said but I'll just save my energy and continue to have a positive day....But if the manager of this Smoothie King cares about the treatment of its customers and the bad customer service given by its employees just run the tape back...I even tipped her as I do everyone and she still was rude or maybe she just doesn't like a particular type of person based solely on appearance because the 2 other customers were at least acknowledged...Receipt attached...Do better...

Came here today to buy a smoothie at around 2039. When I came in two girls were getting ready to close. I overheard them joke around that they were tired and wanted to go home. When I approach to order, I jokingly said “don’t worry I will just order one drink and leave”. At this point the cashier’s face totally changed, caught an attitude, and became very apathetic towards me. Just like I was bothering her. I tried to explain that I was just joking and will be out soon, to which she monotonously reply “ok”. When I was ordering my drink I asked if I can have the strawberry syrup and the regular strawberry in my drink, to which high she said “no, I can’t do that”. I asked her if she didn’t have the frozen strawberries, she said annoyingly “yes”. After I asked her why I can’t have both in my drink she just said because she couldn’t. I was very curious at this point, and asked her why, once again. She blurt out “because those are for the bowls and I can’t open them!”. She could have started saying that I begin to with. While I was ordering she was still smiling and joking with her partner. Which is fine by me but not while you are giving a paying customer an attitude. When it came to the point where she was preparing my drink I just didn’t want it anymore. I believe that food prepared with love tastes better. Plus she placed the blender container out of sight to pump the syrup, and I this point I didn’t trust what was inside the drink because of her attitude. I do appreciate young adults developing their work ethics, earning a living, and developing financial literacy skills, however, I don’t appreciate spending my money where I don’t feel welcome. I have a child that’s getting ready to enter the workforce, and I encourage customer service job as a first experience so she can learn people skills and avoid treating people like I was treated tonight.

Honest Reviews

The staff at this location is nothing but teenagers; which is expected. However, what should not be expected are teenagers in a professional environment acting like they are in High School. If you bring up anything wrong or have questions you will be meant with a combative and/or defensive response and an attitude. Imagine a teenager speaking to an adult as if you are their peer?(attitudes, gestures, snickering etc.).This is bad for business. If this establishment keeps letting their staff act like they have no home training and not reprimanding their employees, the customers will. More training is needed on how to act in a professional environment and how to communicate with customers. The hiring of immature, egotistical, ignorant teenagers is just not cutting it anymore.

Geez the customer service is.. yikes. Walk in, 3 employees, they all just stare. Go up to the register and the girl just rudely stares, no “hello” or “how can I help you.” Asked for a receipt because I could tell my order was wrong and sure enough, it was. I just ordered an acai bowl, add coconut. Corrected her while she was making it since I saw the receipt was wrong and she just stared at me like I had 3 eyeballs. I literally had to say “does that make sense?” For her to say something. Didn’t know it was that confusing to add 1 topping.

i would give 5 stars except for the fact that every time i order a smoothie bowl they dont fill it up at all. no one wants to pay $11 for a smoothie bowl that has 2 inches of base and the toppings dont even go up to the top of the bowl. in the photos they advertise a completely full bowl with your smoothie base and toppings, but the last couple of times ive came here it’s like they dont even try anymore.

You can't go wrong with Smoothie King. Their menu has way too many options, so when you get there make sure you know what you want so you don't hold up the line ? the staff was also well informed and can help you navigate the big menu.

We ordered Four Almond mochas today and the quality was terrible. There were multiple chunks of dates.. the smoothy was very powdery. Extremely disappointed with taste, quality and care with which the smoothie was made
