The Alley Noodle Bar - Frisco

This place uses bigger noodles and the food is delicious. It's clean and bright. Service was ok.

We have been twice and everything has been perfect.
This time we ordered two phos, one wok and a kids menu and all of it was good.

The food here is good but my complaint is with the quantity. My husband picks up takeout for me regularly and, for the price, the quantity is lacking.

There is always very little meat in the pho and today, there was no beansprouts in the takeout. Maybe it was missed and maybe the portion issues are with takeout only but I'm going to try some other places now

I thought I was ordering from the one in McKinney (my fault). I ordered one of the sandwiches that one you bit it the flavor of the meat was completely off as it was full of chicken bouillon 🤮
The service, well the owner was smoking outside the front of the restaurant and told me my order was on the counter. Well no one else was in there so I had to call to someone in the kitchen to please give me some sauce. Then my drink order wasn’t ready so I had to wait until the owner/employee that was smoking outside was done to serve it to me and then had to get a straw from one of the tables as the man didn’t give me one.
Let’s say it was the first and last time going to this place

The taro tea and bahn mi are fantastic and very reasonably priced. This is my wife’s favorite place for banh mi and definitely a hidden gem in Frisco.

I’ve had Pho from many cities I’ve lived between Canada and other states.. I have never been so disappointed in a pho place to share this. And I hate to have to write this, but this is a total rip-off.

This is their “large size” take-out bowl of pho for $17, and got child portion size noodles.

When I called back to ask about this, their reason was “that most their customers don’t eat much noodles why they do it like that”.

Rice/Noodles is the cheapest part of the meal, I don’t understand how they gauge how much one person eats from the next or what they do with it when they’re doing a take-out order.

If a customer orders a large, I couldn’t possibly imagine what their small looks like!!!

Customers should get what they pay for and not be ripped-off, or this restaurant should not be charging $17 for this size meal. Maybe it’s because they are serving American pockets and think people here won’t be able to tell how Pho should be served.

In addition to that and just my two cents, I love Pho most places I go, but they cater to the American palette and the broth is a little too salty.. and when I got home my “rare steak” was thrown into the hot container of broth which made it chewy sitting in the trapped heat and no longer “rare” steak that I ordered. If I wanted cooked meat i would have ordered that, but no, in addition to the baby size noodles for $17 they also decided how I was going to eat my “rare steak” and they threw it in the hot broth without asking if that’s how I wanted it.

It should be packaged appropriately and served according to the menu description.

Broth for Pho tasted a little watered down. The menu states that 6oz of steak comes with a bowl. Firstly it was less than 4oz and secondly, it was bundled into a mashed up ball and just thrown into the broth.

The bamboo shoots and basil were limp and browning like they'd been plated a several hours ago and just being served now.

Their signature bowl did certainly have a generous amount of meat but if you have to spend over $20 for a bowl of pho, it better have a lot of meat!!!

Big health concern is the dude who was bringing the food out kept wiping his nose with his hands and then his hand ti his shirt. Too bad we only noticed this after we were done with our food. The unisex bathroom has a very slow malfunctioning flush. The person taking the order was very polite and professional.

I will not be going back!

The customer service is below satisfactory! The food was OK (Garlic noodles with prawn). The amount of serving was way too less than any restaurant! I had to go and get another dinner on the way back!

You don't come to an Asian restaurant especially a Pho restaurant for the atmosphere or the customer service. With that being said, the food is delicious 😋 when you do run into the owner, he's amazingly nice. But everyone else is just like any other Pho restaurant. Their Pho broth is one of the best in the DFW area so good! Everything taste fresh!

I hate leaving negative reviews. I ordered the 20 Pho-7, (It is short rib) and it was very mediocre. The broth was alright, but not very flavorful. The meat was not tender whatsoever. There’s no way it was cooked for as long as they claim it was. it even tasted old — maybe it’s because it had no flavor at all not even of salt it just tasted like dry, chewy, tasteless meat. They really need to work on their customer service. We weren’t checked on a single time after receiving our food. They’re not friendly at all not necessarily rude, but just not friendly at all. Ginger and spice short rib pho in prosper is much better.

I was throughly surprised by how wonderful the pho and egg rolls were when I was just looking for a pho place that was open a bit later in the evening. The broth was slightly different than the regular chain pho restaurants i go to but it was still a phenomenal meal!
