Moondog Seaside Eatery Reviews
Worst food I’ve had in a long time. Zero seasoning, undercooked everything and I like rare. I’m local and won’t be coming back. Beware!
The food is sub par, and the service is worse if you’re in your 20s! Our server hardly acknowledged our group of four, and focused on other tables. This was the second time we’ve been ignored, the first time we waited for 20 minutes for two drinks (sweet teas). We finally left after witnessing multiple tables being served drinks and food by our waitress. Definitely would not recommend.

Moondog Seaside Eatery, a restaurant with a covered patio and a great seaside bar, offers a variety of dishes and drinks. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal by the water. The appetizers, such as tortilla chips with crawfish dip and peel and eat shrimp, have been praised. However, the service and food quality can be inconsistent. While the food can arrive quickly, there are reports of main dishes arriving late or not meeting expectations, such as chicken burgers and black/blue burgers being overcooked or served on dirty plates. The shrimp po’ boy has received positive feedback for its perfect breading and shrimp ratio. The service can be slow, with drinks arriving after food and refills not offered proactively. While some guests enjoyed their meals, others noted that the drinks, like margaritas, could use improvement. The parking situation can be challenging when it’s busy, but for those who enjoy dining with pets, the outside porch is a welcomed feature.
