How many restaurants can you dine while viewing a busy port with dolphins playing right in front of you. The food and service were great too!
The host had the most personality of anyone we interacted with. Everyone else was just kinda blah. Shrimp kisses are very good as was the lobster bisque. The gumbo had such a dark roux that it tasted burned. When mentioned to the server, he apologized and said he'd take it off the bill. It wasn't taken off the bill. The flounder was ok. It was missing some seasoning. The vegetables it came with were great. The signature dessert was very good. Although it didn't have the taste of root beer as advertised.
I recently visited Fisherman's Wharf in Galveston. The service was very good, and the ambience was equally enjoyable. However, the food itself was mediocre, and the presentation could have been improved. As a local from Galveston, I feel the restaurant — and the hospitality industry overall — could step it up a bit to better meet expectations.
Food was not very good. I got fried shrimp and fries. Both were cold. Shrimp was not fresh. Bread was cold too. Service was fair.
Wir haben in den vergangenen Jahren häufiger dort gegessen. Der Service ist immer sehr gut
Sally was excellent on a very packed environment on the evening of 9/13/25. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary. We had wine from the bar while waiting. We ordered delicious Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. I had the tile fish on the special menu and my husband had fried shrimp. Both entrees were very good and served hot! Sally assisted us with leftover boxes. She has great people skills and her smile is so warm!
Everyone made my granddaughter's 16th birthday a great event. The table location was exceptional. The staff was on point and the food was delicious. Fisherman's Wharf never disappoints.
We unfortunately were allowed to reserve a reservation after there closing time. I was nice and quiet but felt service was minimal and slow. They were out of lobster as well.
Second time here and it did not disappoint! Snapper was amazing and the root beer bread pudding was delicious. Might come back this weekend for more!
First time to dine at Fishermans Warf in Galveston and it did not disappoint. The food was outstanding, and the service was awesome. Marcus was our waiter, and we sat out back on the deck. His attention to detail and suggesting different options was so helpful. Very friendly, kept the drinks refilled and was probably the best service we have had from any restaurant in a long time.

Disappointed in the seating. There was plenty of seating to view the water outside and yet they try to put a party of two in the back area. Then they didn’t because the tables were set up for large parties. So then they tried to seat us by a door way where one of the chairs would be hit with the door. Finally we were sat near the window to see the water. (It was not busy). Food: we ordered a blackened shrimp queso for an appetizer, it was a very small portion to for the price and was sub par and the shrimp was severely over cooked. The entree was shrimp combo, this was ok at best. The flavor was not there and the rice tastes like the pre cooked rice you get off the shelf at the grocery store. We ordered beer on draft and it wasn’t available, so we ordered another brand on draft and we received beer in a bottle with a glass. Ridiculous. We weren’t very hungry, thank goodness. We spent $61.00 for two people 1 beer, 1 appetizer and 1 entree. You would expect better quality food for this establishment and for the price.
