Our party came in the restaurant around 8p. The waitress told us that they close the kitchen at 8 so we felt rushed. My first time here and so I was excited when I found the bean dip was delicious. Ordered the beef tacos and was shocked to see that they used store bought corn shells. What a disappointment. No flavor. Felt like I was eating cardboard. If I had known, I would just gone to a fast food restaurant for Taco Bell type of tacos. I told the waitress of our disappointment but she just shrugged it off and said something about no control of the kitchen and how they cook. She was nice but again she was in a rush to get us out. She did not offer desert so we order the flan to go since we saw that it was homemade and we wanted to try it. The flan was delicious. But, won't be going back. Will chk out another Mexican restaurant or will go to Taco Cabana, instead.

The chicken fajitas here used to be much better. Did they loose their chef? The charro beans are still great, but not as generous on the actual beans.

It was my first time and the truth is that I was amazed because the cleanliness of the restaurant, the attention, the speed and the quality of the food is exceptional. Parking is available and it's free, you don't have to worry about paying for parking. They have a show for the guests that is very fun for the family to enjoy. The prices are acceptable to everyone. If you haven't come, I recommend that you do it. It doesn't matter if you don't speak English, here they speak Spanish too.

They charged me $13 for 8 oz of red salsa and 8 oz of green salsa..... The same size as they put on the tables and end up throwing away about 35% of it at the end of the day.
I thought that was outrageous!
As an owner/proprietor, I make salsa for diners to enjoy with your meal, at no charge. If I have the opportunity to sell salsa, individually, well that is a PLUS.....not an opportunity to hike the price....

I asked for hot sauce and she had to charge $7. You’d think it was a whole bottle.Lost my business.

I almost turned around and walked out within the first thirty seconds after entering .... Because my sinuses immediately reacted to allergens present ... somewhere. BUT, being in a group, the decision had been made, and so, I stayed. ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS!! Our green-eyed server, Carolina, was SO much fun! THOROUGHLY enjoyed interacting with her! And THEN came the food. OH. MY. GOSH. AMAZING. I had the Queso Fundito ... it was TO DIE FOR! And the Queso Poblano? Highly coveted! There is no question - I will return EVERY time I visit Galveston!

I have been to Las Lazos numerous times and have always enjoyed the food. Went last evening for my birthday and had excellent service from Carolina. We each had a wine margarita which was very good. We ordered Tilapia Chipotle which had a tasty shrimp sauce and a side of Charro beans. I tried Taquitos Chilango with Charro beans for the first time. Will definitely order this dish again. Finished with freshly made Churros and Sopapillas. Have dined there about once a month because the food is fresh and well-prepared. They have karaoke night every Friday for those who can (or cannot) sing.
