My fiance and I came in with my service dog and was constantly harassed by employees asking if she’s a service dog and even after telling them yes, the older blonde worker said “because if she’s not, she needs to go to the patio” in a very rude tone. The constant harassment from the employees made our shopping experience unbelievably uncomfortable we almost left- but I really wanted a couple of goodies we haven’t been able to find while beach combing. Upon checkout, I asked the cashiers where they sourced their shells from and they had no idea just said “not from here.” The other worker that had made the condescending tone remark about my Great Dane needing to go to the patio also asked to pet her and reached her hand out to try and touch her knowing she’s a service animal. I told her not to touch her, as it’s illegal to touch a service dog while they are working. Please, for the love, train your employees on the legalities of service animals do’s & don’t. Service dogs are not required to wear a working vest and petting a service animal is a criminal offense. On a positive note, Murdoch’s does have a wide variety of shells and coastal crafts!

I wouldnt even give them a one star, but is the store with more kids souvenirs we waited to pay an ítem and the lady in counter was very rude complétely ignored us . We waited thinking maybe she was busy but didn’t even mind to let us know to wait she just kept ignoring us . So we just put all the stuff back due to her rude behavior.

Called Murdochs before we arrived in Galveston and they were spot on with the weather forecast they gave me. Thank you. And thanks to Kim and the left side for being so friendly, courteous, and informative. The right side of Murdochs needs some work. Not so nice. Need to learn to pay attention to their customers.

Very ,nice ,clean store,with wonderful views ,perfect for having place to sit and watch the ocean. We purchased a nice assortment of souvenirs on 2 visits. The customer service was excellent, we encountered friendly,courteous,happy employees on the left side entrance.We had a nice conversation with Sue? and Manny . On the right side where they sell drinks, it was a different story,no greetings, no smiles, they seemed like they tried to avoid eye contact, kinda odd. But overall a great store , highly recommend.The three employees on the left side were awesome, offering, helpful information, courteous exchange and were great ambassadors of the store .Five star treatment

While the store itself is nice. The problem i have is with the way my family was treated. My daughter walked in the store with a cup of water and was harassed by the lady employee at the front of the store. I understand it's the store policy because she rudely told us. If she could have spoke to us kindly my review would have been alot different. So what ever you do don't take a drink in this store.
