We were in Galveston for a quick trip celebrating our anniversary. We turned to Google to find local restaurants with good food and vibes. So, we came across Ophelia’s and were super excited to patronize the establishment. Let me start by saying the cashier was nice and we placed our order- found a seat eagerly anticipating the arrival of our food. 😤😤😤😤🌬️the chicken wings had feathers and whiskers, lack flavor, no garlic powder, onion powder, salt or pepper. The greens were also flavorless, and lack seasoning. One of my favorite dishes is black eyed peas and the cook messed over those peas by not adding seasoning! Use bouillon if seasoning isn’t your thing! Eating at this establishment was a mistake and I wasted my money! I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worse enemy!

Came here yesterday afternoon with some friends, and we had a great time! I got the shrimp combo with green beans and fries. One of my friends got the shrimp combo with mac and cheese and collared greens, and my other friend got wings with yams and collared greens. Everything was reasonably priced and came out quickly. The food was delicious! I would definitely come back.

I had no idea this place was here until I saw something on Facebook. I love to support small local businesses and this place fits just that. From the moment we walked in to when we walked out the service was amazing. And the food..... OMG amazing. The oxtails were some of the best I've ever had and the greens and yams... absolutely delicious. This is a place I know for sure I will be going back!

My family had lunch at Ophelia's in early August. The food exceeded my expectations!! The shrimp and fish were hot fresh out of the pot/pan, perfectly seasoned and with a little spicy kick. Others had the shrimp plates which they oo'ed and ahh'ed over. The sides were plentiful, mac n cheese, greens, fries were fresh and hot. We were all too full to have room/enjoy the desserts. Sweet tea, a must, was perfect. The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming. I wish I had more time to come back and try other items on the menu. I highly recommend eating at Ophelia's!!
