I would come to Galveston just to go to this bakery! EVERYTHING is good! My favorite is the Key Lime Tarts.

1st time customer. Went in to buy a cake for my wife's birthday, walked out extremely disappointed. How can a 5 star bakery have only 1 cake in the case ?(cookie monster) on a busy weekend. I ask the staff member if they would have any more by tomorrow, He replied they were closed Monday. UGH,!!!
guess I'm driving to Nothing but Bunt Cakes.

I pre-ordered a birthday cake for my Girlfriend for pickup on a Sunday. Lemon cake with birthday wishes written on it. It was fantastic and we both loved it. The icing was also lemon flavored and it was perfectly sweetened - not gritty and not bland. The cake was moist and flavor was excellent. The place is nice and everyone I encountered, from the person who took my order to the person who made our coffee was top-notch in service and friendliness. Thanks for making a great memory for us, Patty Cakes Team!

The Saint Louis butter bars are really good, probably the best thing that they have, though I wouldn't really recommend anything else. Just about everything else is fine, not bad, but just fine, and for the prices that isn't really acceptable.

I would not recommend the coffee. It's pretty much the same as the food, it's fine, but given the price, not really worth it.

The staff are kind and friendly, though the space itself leaves a lot to be desired. There is no place to sit and enjoy what you have purchased. It is a purely sterile interaction as it is intended you buy your desserts/bread and immediately leave, which given the price is a little ludicrous.

I don't think I would ever recommend Pattycakes because of the price and it's local competition.

Pretty nice place. Cookies and pastries are top notch but the coffee was just ok. I ordered a cortado but most places are not familiar with it. Overall I enjoyed my go here and do recommend it.

I love this place! I get the “Gabby special” (that’s what I call it) a chocolate chip cookie and an iced almond milk caramel latte! Today I decided to try something savory and chose the Spinach and Feta Scone. 10/10

Now I understand why everything was an epic fail at Patty Cakes. They are the same people who own the Mosquito Cafe. Had I known that, I would not have stepped foot into THAT bakery. I had a miserable EXPENSIVE experience at the Mosquito Cafe and only received excuses from the owner. I ordered 6 items at Patty Cakes and only 1 of them was any where near bakery quality, the rest was OVERLY sweet or DRY or HARD. The staff just gave blank stares. No suggestions, no descriptions of goods, no greeting and no thank you. 2 Businesses patronized 2 Failures in service for me.

We love going to new bakeries when out of town. We tried the buckeye and some type of lemon infused with strawberry, the lemon was amazing! The buckeye not so much it was way too sweet! Oh and we also tried the pecan pie too which was fantastic but it he buckeye was sweeter than even the pecan pie.
The front staff wasn’t helpful and didn’t offer to taste test anything, but a hurricane had just hit so will give the benefit of the doubt. I would eat everything again except that buckeye and I LOVE SWEETS. They didn’t have much of a selection but like I said the hurricane hit and it was 4pm when we arrived
My advice for this bakery is to hand out samples of some sort

We always have made PattyCakes a stop when in Galveston. Last Thursday 8/15/24 will be our last. Our granddaughter who is 11 and a very sweet, shy girl went to the counter and said, "Can I have a red velvet cupcake and (pointing to a cakeball) that cake ball." The lady behind the counter who I think may have been an owner said to her, "You may if you ask correctly". I couldn't beleaive that woman had the nerve to say something like that to our granddaughter!!! I was trying to make sense of what was said or I would have said something right then, but was taken back with this person and my attention was turned to my granddaughter. Our granddaughter replied with, "May I please have a red velvet cupcake and that cake ball". I could tell our granddaughter was nearly in tears so I asked her if she wanted to go outside. When the rest of the family came outside my husband stayed behind and asked the lady why she said that to our granddaughter. She told him "Well if you'd teach her some manners you wouldn't be embarrassed like this." This had nothing to to with manners. Possibly grammer but not manners. And who is this bakery owner or employee to correct anyone's children who are only placing an order. No rudeness, no misbehaving no reason to say what she said and cause embarrassment to this child. If anything she owed our granddaughter an apology. In this world of rude, disrespectful kids this woman had absolutely NO place saying this! Now, once PattyCakes reads this review and wants to correct my grammer please feel free too. You won't embarrass me. But how dare you make another child feel the way you made ours feel!!! Needless to say this is why that visit will be our last.

Price gouged after hurricane. 2 apple struddles, and 2 cinnamon twists should not be $35. Correct me if I'm wrong, owner of this business.

This weekend I had a family reunion and ordered a couple of cakes. Saturday morning, shortly before I was going to pick them up, I received a call that they had no power and were closing the store at noon. Unfortunately I was an hour away, but a couple of employees stayed an extra half hour just so I could get them. Very grateful for being so kind.
Also the entire family was impressed by the decorating and awesome taste
