My wife and I had an amazing experience at Vargas. It was our first visit, and we were celebrating our anniversary. We were extremely impressed with the ambiance, the service, the attention to detail of everything, and the fine quality of the food. We will for sure be returning on our next visit to Galveston.

We planned our first ever trip to Galveston from Broken Arrow, OK. After making our hotel reservations we realized we were arriving during Restaurant Week. After much research we made reservations at Vargas Cut & Catch as we were looking for fresh gulf seafood in a fine dining establishment. Vargas is a gorgeous restaurant with a lovely ambience. Our waiter Andre was awesome, as well as the other staff, and our food was meticulously prepared and very delicious. After living in Las Vegas for years and experiencing many of the finest dining establishments in the country, we were very pleasantly surprised to find Vargas to be on par. Thank you for making our trip and my husband's birthday dinner memorable!

We love Vargas for a special night out! We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary and it was memorable from start to finish: shrimp cocktail, Vargas chopped salad, steak, mac n cheese, creamed spinach and Pacos dome cake for dessert. Wine and cocktails were also fabulous.

The staff are always exceptionally courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. The food is always delicious. The wine was great and we had a fantastic dessert. Our server ,Bruno, was excellent!

Bruno, our server, was attentive and delivered excellent service the entire time. The staff worked together as a coordinated team and made everything smooth. This was the best dining experience we have had. Perfect for celebrations or a refined evening out.

Wow!!! Our first time here and we were truly impressed. The food was exceptional, staff was on point, ambiance was subtle and quiet. The bone marrow was exquisite. A must try! The crab cake was fresh, full of crab, barely any fillers. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and tasty. All the steaks were cooked to perfection. The sides consisted of creamy spinach (rich and bursting with garlic flavor), whipped potatoes and onion rings (the batter could be better) were all delicious. This is easily a 4 star restaurant and we will definitely be back.
