I went here with my girlfriend because she said the boba here was good. But we left very dissatisfied, even she said the quality of the drinks tasted very watered down. The lady working behind the counter was also very rude, would not recommend ! ❌❌❌

I tried this place because of the reviews but the drinks were subpar, the woman working there (the owner I think) is also very rude too. Not sure why you would open an establishment and be rude to your customers. After looking through the reviews again it also really looks like they’re fake reviews. I’d truly leave a 1 star if possible but it seems my post won’t show if I do that.

Love the drinks

Drinks were VERY mediocre sadly, and they had very loud karaoke music blasting ruining the atmosphere. Would not recommend stopping here for boba, ShareTea or 7 leaves is so much better

I've visited Boba Cafe multiple times in the past, but this last time was a complete downgrade. We ordered a Mocha Cappuccino, Avocado, and Passion -- we expected to receive a delicious boba tea, but it wasn't anything like it. Don't get me wrong -- I understand that the real thing will not always be like the photos, but this was completely different. Let's start with the Mocha Cappuccino -- it wasn't it. What we received was merely an iced coffee -- a regular, untasty ice coffee. What we were expecting was a blended mocha cappuccino with whip cream on top, which was completely different from what we received. The Avocado was indeed a boba tea, with the exception that it was not sweet at all. It was well-blended but watered down. It had a very faint avocado flavor to it -- nothing as expected. The Passion (Fruit) was the worst of all. Instead of being a well-blended boba tea, there was a clear separation between the "liquid" and the "foam". To make matters worst, the flavor tasted just a tad bit sweeter than plain water -- I was better off having water. Unlike other times we have been here, this time, our experience was just complete crap. I don't recommend picking this place over any other boba places because the prices are about the same as others, and you'll most likely have a better experience elsewhere.

Mmm gross. Milk tea was chalky and nasty. Did not get a good reception because pretty sure the people were racist against white people. An on top of that they didn't even give me a full cup (3/4) of the way full, to save 5cents. Great business practice guys, way to go.

Honestly, I've been coming here since I was a little kid. My parents would always go do their grocery shopping at Hiep Thai and would always give my sister and me a few dollars to go get our sugar rush from boba (and to not annoy them while they're shopping) so a lot of my fondness towards this little hole in the wall place is due to all the good memories growing up. The drinks aren't terrible. But they're also not amazing. There are much, much better boba places but if you're looking for something that'll get you your boba craving fixed at a low price, then you're in the right spot! You definitely WILL NOT get boba at this price anywhere else (relatively 3.25 for a small, 3.50 for a large, could possibly change due to what kind of drink you order - i.e. slush vs milk tea, etc.) There's been a huge surge of boba shops over the years in the Plano/Garland/Richardson area, and for all the shops I've frequented, this one hands down have the lowest prices. Also compared to the other shops, there is NO CAFE AREA AND NO WIFI. There's probably like 8 chairs total and 2 tables. This is very much a "fast food" style boba - you pick your drink, you order, you leave. I've been ordering the chocolate slush since I was practically 7 years old. It's not that impressive, but again, a lot of good memories are attached to this drink. It's your basic flavored chocolate slush. My favorite part is when the boba freezes in the drink so it's a lot more chewy than normal! I've also tried the milk tea - again, just average. P.S. CASH ONLY. They don't take credit cards.

Disclaimer: I personally know the shop owner and have frequented here for last decade. I grew up in Taiwan and have been trained by other boba tea shops. I will be as critical and accurate as possible but some bias can be assumed. Summary: Good affordable Boba tea shop with above average taste and consistency. Small store, family owned, not a lounge, does not have atmosphere to relax in. Great on the go place. Vietnamese owned. CASH only (for now). In depth: Store: The shop is located inside a vietnamese market, on the right hand side. There is no store sign but just look for the bright green paint. While they do try to keep the store clean, the owner tends to do other surrounding "shops" favors by acting as a storage for them to keep random things in her store. So don't be surprise to find random trinket and things on side for sale and random equipments and boxes around the store. I don't believe this action is good for the store front but the owner believe more about helping others. Staff: The shop is normally run by 2 individuals, a drink maker and the owner her self cooking tea and boba in the back. All boba/tapioca are made on the day of and not stored. They do not have uniforms so just look for individuals in the back making drinks. They do generally speak vietnamese but some workers are not fluent in English. The generally attitude is pleasant "asian" demeanor, respectful but not charismatic. It's very, fast food feel. Order.pay.wait.drink.leave. Don't look for small talks. Tapioca Balls: Both Large and small boba, Q factor is there but generally on the soft side which is good for cold slush drinks. Tapioca ball are from Taiwanese distributor. There are jellies for those who prefer those abominations. Tea/Drinks: Micro batched made for general tea. The tea are tasty but nothing fancy like some certain shops where you can pick specific loose tea leaf i.e fruit infuse chia tea, high mountain tea, imperial tea, etc. However, they do have fresh avocado, Taro, and durian if you ask for it. Eric is my go to guy for making tea. If you specify the sweetness / ice / or special order he can be very accommodating. I keep trying his random boba inventions.
