Had great dinner! Food was good, staff was attentive and friendly! They have a hidden menu item of sesame balls which is one of my wife's favorites.

I have eaten here two times this year. It feels very clean and comfortable. I had chicken with cashew nuts both times and egg drop soup. We went on a Sunday about 11:30 with a large group from church. My food was good and everyone else enjoyed their entrees. Prices are reasonable. Also a convenient location away from the heavier traffic in Georgetown.

The food had so much MSG in it. I don't know how people eat there. I felt like I was being poisoned after I got down the road.

We decided to try Lin's Cafe for the first time the other day. We came by for a late lunch and were not greeted. We stood waiting by the door awkwardly for a minute, until finally another guest said that it was a seat-yourself place. When the waitress came around we placed our order and it did come out quick. I ordered the fried rice, and unfortunately, it was not tasty. It was rice, eggs, green onions and a few pieces of chicken placed in a circle around the plate. There was no seasonings and it tasted very bland. Most fried rice dishes have more veggies and flavors packed in, but this one did not. The kids plates do not include rice, which we found a little odd as well. Our friend did enjoy her orange chicken, so if we come back, I would try something similar to that next time.

Delicious food served by cute and kind waitresses. Very consistently good. I try to eat here whenever I visit my parents at Sun City. Would definitely recommend if you're cruising on Williams Dr.

Ah… Lin’s Café in Georgetown, Texas.

You know, I’ve been to a great many places in this world, some extraordinary, some forgettable, and a precious few that exist in a quiet little pocket of culinary honesty. Lin’s Café falls into the latter, like a pearl tucked away in the Lone Star state, polished not by opulence, but by care.

I walked in, no fanfare, no pretense. The kind of place that doesn’t need a Michelin star to justify its existence. And there she was, the young lady behind the counter. Now, I’ve dealt with CEOs, Board Directors, and VPs of many stripes, but this woman? She ran that café with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker and the warmth of an old friend you haven’t seen in years. There was a gleam in her eye, one that told me she wasn’t just reciting a script but offering a genuine invitation to relax and stay awhile.

She told me it would be about ten minutes. Ten minutes. Not a moment longer. I sat, as she suggested, and watched as the kitchen sounded like it moved, not frantically, but rhythmically, like a waltz. There’s a story in that kind of order, you know. A truth. And truth, my friend, is a rare dish.

When I returned home with the takeout, it was as if I’d brought back treasure. The Shrimp Pad Thai... oh, the noodles! Tender yet firm, sweet and tangy with just enough fire to remind you you’re alive. And the shrimp? Plump little gems, perfectly curled as if bowing in gratitude before disappearing into my delighted mouth. My wife smiled at me in a way that reminded me of why I still believe in moments of peace.

Then there was the Sesame Chicken. A dish so often butchered in the back alleys of cheap buffets and overcooked chain restaurants. But here? No. At Lin’s, it was treated with respect. Crispy, golden, with a sauce that clung lovingly to every morsel like silk on skin. Each bite, a subtle symphony of crunch and glaze, sweetness and umami. Balanced. Composed.

Lin’s Café didn’t try to be something it’s not. It doesn’t have to. Because when you walk through that door, you're not just another customer. You’re a guest. And in this world of noise, algorithms, and self-checkout machines, that kind of authenticity is as rare as a Fabergé egg in a flea market.

So yes, if you ever find yourself in Georgetown, Texas, skip the pomp and head to Lin’s Café. Sit down. Wait ten minutes. And take part in something quietly remarkable. Tell the young lady I sent you.

Unfortunately really disappointed in the food, we ordered take out and didn’t finish our meals. The pad Thai was inconsistent and not an authentic recipe, it lacked peanut sauce, bean sprouts, green onions and lime. Was served with baby corn, soggy mushrooms, lemon and one whole cilantro stem. Overall bland. The egg drop soup is also underwhelming yet overpowering in egg flavor. There were no ingredients you would expect in the soup, besides egg and liquid.

This review is for the veggie fried rice. Bland. Too much rice not enough veggies or egg. The proportions of rice to other ingredients was way too high. I moved the veggies and eggs together with part of the rice and ate it. What was left, About half of the whole went in the trash. I understand this is a small business and reviews are important.

Best Asian take-out around. Every time we order, which is almost 1x week, the whole family is happy. My kids beg for this on the weekends. Highly recommend the Thai Basil Chicken and all of the appetizers.
