Top-notch restaurant/bar you’d expect to find in a much larger city! Located on the Goldthwaite square, not a fancy location, but very laid back with cool details like a local black walnut bar top milled by the owners.Nice craft beer selection. Good restaurant! We visited on a Thursday at lunch and there was plenty of open seating. The interior is nicely done. We ordered several burgers, chicken sandwich and the meatloaf sliders. Everything was pretty good. The fries were my favorite! The wait after ordering was a lot longer than expected and customer service was ok. We would visit again if hungry in the area.

Don’t tell anyone! Southside Tavern is our main weekend goto. Living in an extremely rural place, we’re used to driving 30 minutes to just get a burger and fries. Having Southside, 20 minutes away is great! Everything about this place is perfect for us. I agree, food, service and atmosphere like you expect in Austin, but without the Austin weirdos.
