Neri's on the Square offers a wide variety of food options and adult beverages. Recent diners reported well-seasoned, tender steaks, including the Cowboy Ribeye and Top Sirloin, with good drinks at reasonable prices. Service was described as above average. While the fried catfish dinner had a nice crust, the fish was mushy, and the coleslaw serving was small. Beers were served in a chilled mug. Many found the steaks to be the best they've had, with perfect flavor and temperature, so tender they were like butter. The Chicken Fried Steak is a highlight, with flavorful breading and real gravy. The carne asada taco was surprisingly wonderful, with authentic homemade green salsa. The young man who waited on us was the most attentive, checking on us frequently and refilling waters always with a smile. The menu was great with great options, new and with a modern style. For an old style building, it was remodeled with a great eye to the original architecture while still making it new and modern.
