The buffet food was decent, but for the price you’re paying, I’d recommend sitting closer to the middle of the stadium-style seating. The window seats look nice and feel more upscale, but the view of the races isn’t nearly as good.
Service was just alright. Host stand didn’t give us any info on the buffet and how it works. There were a lot of people everywhere at once, and I had to repeat my drink order several times before it arrived.

Winning help
Staff was excellent and very helpful and patient for the first timers that joined us. Very fun and cool atmosphere. Food was a bit pricey for the quality, but was generally pretty good. Drink prices also a bit high for the options but expect that with a captured audience. Will 100% be back again.

Silks Dining at Lone Star Park offers a unique dining experience with great views of the races from the fourth level. The attentive waitstaff and convenient tableside ticket printing make for a seamless experience. The buffet offers a variety of options, including macaroni and cheese, which was a standout. However, some dishes, such as the chicken thighs and prime rib, were underwhelming. The dessert and salad bars were decent, but the overall value was a concern. Despite some changes, including the end of smoking in the Bar and Book, Silks Dining remains a fun spot for horse racing enthusiasts. With options like dollar beer and hot dogs, there's something for everyone. However, staffing issues and increased prices may detract from the experience.
