Horrible service! The waiters took our orders pretty fast, but forgot lots of our food and argued about it. We waited well over an hour and still only got our appetiser. The server claimed that , “We are under staffed.” The patio benches were very wobbly and were very cheap. We usually come here often, but today has awful. I don’t think they are still ready as a restaurant after the new owners took over. This is our favorite place and we have been coming here since 2000. But after Covid, this place has been up and down. Today is the last day we are coming here
and will lol wait for few months till it gets little better!

CLOSED due to flooding. Did not go to eat, went to see the water level of the lake so cannot post a positive review.

My only problem with this place is their a/c was out & it was hot outside. Also, there didn't seem to be enough parking close by...has to park a long way off.

The Oasis was Great - but sold out.
The Blue whatever was horrible and closed.
Now we have The Shack - nice looking remodeling - but if you’re looking for Seafood at a restaurant On The Lake - you will be quite disappointed.
They now have a self order kiosk with a huge line - and the menu has 1 Shrimp item with 6 shrimp and lettuce & tomato for $17.00.
It’s no wonder on a Sunday afternoon at 5:00pm the place was almost empty.
I’m Very Disappointed !!!!!

Put a Real Seafood Restaurant here with reasonable pricing and it would be full of customers.

Bar area had 5 dirty tables. Bartenders need more help. Patio closed for construction. Bummer!! Bloody Mary is lacking garnish and taste. Grilled cheese - burnt!! No table service given or offered. Malt vinegar? Salt. Napkins were paper towels which the server spilled a soda on!!!

We used to come out to this place and we’ve been coming for 35 years.
Today was the worst experience we have ever had.
They make you stand in line at the bar to place an order like a fast food place and you order your own drinks there.
It’s no longer a restaurant style.
It is basically a self serve type atmosphere.
I think we are never coming back.

Just a horrible concept. You order food like a snack bar and they bring it to you. No Waite staff. Just to deliver food. So the bartender does 90% of the work and is completely overwhelmed. Food is ok and the staff is friendly. Just an inefficient way for the owners to try to save money. They could do it way better if they would just pay some Waite staff.

There are only two seafood items on the menu. Burgers were dry and hard. Cold, too. They need to update the menu. I don't like the P.C. condiments, either. Go back to the old menu.

Two seafood items only, burgers were dry and hard. Only thing good was catfish. I am willing too give it a 2nd chance. Don't like the P.C. condiment.

As you can tell by now, reading all the reviews, this place is nothing like it used to be. I went a while back and was really disappointed. I was looking at the menu online and saw all kinds of stuff I wanted. Fried alligator, shrimp cocktail, gumbo, etc. DON'T BE FOOLED. None of these items actually exist. The menu is very small. They basically have a cheeseburger or a chicken sandwich and a few other odds and ends. We got two cheeseburgers with bacon on them. it came with fries. I also got an order of nachos as an appetizer. The burgers were kind of okay and had a good flame broiled flavor, but the patties were the same size as you would get on a McDonald's cheeseburger. The fries were good. The nachos looked and tasted like something you would get at a high school football game concession stand. Not to mention, they came out the same time as the cheeseburgers. Here's the kicker. When you walk in the door, they hand you a menu and tell you to stand in line to order. After about 10 minutes, with only one party in front of us, we finally made it through this order with the help of two separate people at different times. There seemed to be some kind of confusion on the drinks or something because they had water and tea already set out so you could get your own drink. We both had tea. This same station was where you got your packs of condiments. They can't put mustard on a burger in the kitchen. You must do that yourself. Anyway they gave me a number and a short time later they brought the food to the table. So here we are with two bacon cheeseburgers, an order of nachos, and two teas that we had to serve ourselves. The total for this order was 53 dollars and some change. Is it me, or does that seem to be a little high. I tipped 6 bucks and something to make it an even 60 dollars. (They ask for that ahead of time for some reason.) I guess the tip was for the guy bringing out our food because there was no way in hell someone was coming to your table and asking if you needed a refill. Some of these pictures and reviews aren't even from this place. And the which dishes do you recommend list below when you are writing a review is about 70% incorrect. Can we get it back like it was like 10 years ago? I know covid took a toll on a lot of businesses, but come on. Lease it out to someone who wants to run a successful business. For Pete's sake, it's the only marina on Joe pool lake. FIX IT.

It is still trying to figure itself out. It is a fast food place trying to be nice. Limited meal options, but high prices. Counter service but kinda table service. You go to the counter, but have to wait to get items, including drinks. Only seafood options are fried shrimp and a daily special of catfish (not on menu). They do not know who is getting what. Long wait for a counter service place. Once received, the food was good. About the time we were almost done, we finally got our drinks. Choking down a chicken sandwich loses appeal quickly. Onion rings were really good though. No refills, because they ran out of tea ?. Apparently, you can only get water and bar drinks. The patio was nice. The dining area was stuffy. Nice views. It could be great.
