Never been to Panchitos, but had heard good reviews. Didn't realize it was curbside only, was looking to dine in. So that's the reason I rated atmosphere a 1 star. The lady taking the order was nice. 5 star. However $9 for a fajita taco plus 3.25 for a sweet tea I thought was ridiculously over priced. Fajita had good flavor. But not $9 worth especially when you can go to stripes and get two fajita tacos plus a drink for $5-6. Not having an option to dine in and the high prices will definitely keep me from returning again.

To Jeanie and her staff at Panchito’sYou have managed to become the BEST part about Harlingen. Through overcoming what Covid through at you, to reopening with limited staff, pushing through what life throws at you, the economy and it rising prices and now to your sister battling cancer(and she will persevere).Establishments like you are what we need in this town….in this world. For those that have never been, yes they are curbside. But in no way does that stop them from serving you the best, freshest food, with a smile. The food is just like grandma makes. It just makes you feel all warm and cozy, while certainly filling up the belly. My family and I love to order from here and we try to as often as we can. We love to support our local hidden gems and this restaurant is a GEM.I was compelled to write this review, because of a post on Facebook. Someone complaining of the prices of a fajita taco and they can get a better deal at Stripes. Psshh…..I DON”T THINK SO!! You cannot compare a homemade taco to a stripes taco, no way. Prices for food have skyrocketed to an unimaginable high. Gas is ridiculous! Adjustments have to be made and therefore prices must go up. They have families that depend on them. Have I ordered a fajita taco from Panchito’s…yes I have. It was the best and freshest fajita taco that I have ever had, at any local restaurant. Though I must say, the carne guisada on the large 16 inch tortilla, with rice, beans, lettuce and tomato, is my absolute favorite. The 16 inch carne guisada taco, on the menu is $18.99 and the 9 inch is $10.99. Is that too much for a taco? Not really. Is it worth it? 100% YES!! Will I order it again? ABSOLUTELY!!You pay for the quality of the food, the heart that goes into the cooking, the smile and warm greeting when it’s brought out to you. I will come back over and over again. In fact, I had Panchito’s for lunch today. I had their lunch special of Calabaza con Pollo and it was THE BEST! I may sound like I am over exaggerating but my taste buds don’t lie….and neither does my belly.With that said, Jeanie, THANK YOU. My family and I have gone to Panchito's many times. In fact we discovered them during Covid which was a blessing with their specials. Since then, we try to get food from there as much as possible. Today was no different! Nothing beats calebaza con pollo and conchas con carne, and a botana for 4! More than anything, Ms. Jeanie's friendship means the world to us which makes the food even better!Kid-friendliness: Since meeting my children, Ms. Jeanie has never forgotten to ask about them by name. I have never experienced such dedication to customer service!

Absolutely best customer service and food in town. The owner is just the most kind person I've met especially as an owner of a restaurant. Can't beat the prices either, and portion to price ratio is outstanding. Call before going and there's practically no wait time. It's curbside but drive thru style. You want to pull up to their door with your driver side door facing their building.
