**This place does NOT serve breakfast -- something to keep in mind if you're visiting!** My fiancé and I stopped in for a bite while we're passing through to our wedding venue. Since it opens at 10:00, we were hoping for some breakfast -- but the only serve lunch. Not a big deal, but a little disappointing. We had the friend zucchini, the chicken fried steak sandwich with fries, the burger with fries, and coffee. The coffee is some of the worst I've ever had -- definitely avoid! It's weak and just tastes like hot water. The rest of the food was pretty good. Nothing stunning, but not bad either. The fries were the best part of everything we tried. The service was decent and we got our food quickly. The restaurant itself is pretty dated, but it's clean -- everything you can expect from an old-fashioned Southern cafe. There's also a 3% upcharge on all tickets if you pay with card instead of cash. Wasn't a big fan of that either. All in all, nothing terrible, but nothing impressive.

I really liked the food. The chicken fried steak was good, and the sides were good, nothing overcooked or undercooked. The service could have been better. The young lady wasn't very attentive and looked to be more important in conversation with the other girl and her phone. The other guy working there or manager had to get my empty cup to give to her to fill because she never would. I would go back for the food, though.

Only gave the food a 2 because can only judge off of sides, broccoli was cooked right, taters couldn't tell if they were powder or not, guess that is good. Don't order the Ribeye unless you like it cooked well done. Ordered it Medium came with a very thin line of pink, sent it back asked for medium came out the same way, didn't feel like waiting for another steak. Had it been the other way (Medium - Rare) I would have been happy, but they do need learn how to cook a steak. to make things worse, way too much salt on the steak, there is a shaker on the table if people want that much salt.Service was good, people were friendly, tea was good.Would I go back, most likely not, the steak was $30, one of the most expensive things on the menu, and they couldn't get it right. Is a shame, we pass through there all the time on the way to West Texas.
