“We found y’all while picking up a load today. It’s rare to find food this delicious that has truck parking as well. Pork belly with fried rice and crab wontons for me, loaded fries and shrimp eggrolls for my husband. There’s so much food we have enough for another meal. Thank you for being here for truckers and for filling iur bellies. ☺️ — feeling excited with Chris Barnes at A Taste of Laos.“

“I love coming upon unique and fun gas station restaurants! They are often a very nice surprise. A Taste of Laos is no exception! We ordered the fried pork belly, the chicken larb and the teriyaki chicken. I probably would not order the teriyaki chicken again because it was not as flavorful as the other dishes we tried. However, it was a huge portion and there were additional sauces included in the container; and it included two VERY tasty and crispy eggrolls. The fried pork belly was so delicious and melted in your mouth! The portion size was huge and I chose the steamed rice. I wish that I had tried the fried rice instead. Oh well! I can try that next time. My very favorite of the dishes was the chicken larb. I understand that larb is the national dish of Laos. It had lots of flavor and a pretty complex flavor profile with some kick to it (I ordered hot.) The larb was served with cucumber slices and a sliced wedge of iceberg lettuce to spoon the larb on and DEVOUR! I would definitely order the larb and the pork belly again. However, there were so many delicious sounding items on the menu that it may take me a while to make my way through the menu! They had an asian burrito, loaded fries, chicken wings.....too many items to remember! I felt that the prices were very reasonable.Anthony took our order and was so pleasant to visit with while we waited for our food. He had good knowledge of the menu and was very polite and friendly. The space was clean and there were numerous tables inside for dining. It had a wall of windows that separated it for the most part from the convenience store portion of the building.I would definitely visit A Taste of Laos again. Now I am going to attempt to duplicate the larb dish with some tasty ground venison! Wish me luck!“
