“Spent the day with the family in Galveston for Father's dayand stopped here for an early dinner on the way home. Atmosphere was very chill, I could tell there were a good amount of regulars hanging out. Food came out pretty quick, everything looked and tasted fresh. I had an issue with my dish, but it was quickly remade and was delicious, the family enjoyed their food as well. The server was also attentive, made sure we had plenty to drink and was all around very great, unfortunately I don't remember her name as we were abit tired from the beach. I would definitely come back if I lived closer, maybe next beach trip though.“

“I have seen four bad reviews.I think they must be talking about another place.We started going there a little over two years ago.We eat there at least once a week,sometimes twice and not on ce was there a bad meal.They have had a little trouble with Chefs as the one who had been there a long time,who.drove from Galveston every daY, left early this year He was great.The other Chef who came was ok but not successful and did not last long and I do not know if they have another permanent Chef or if the Chef's assistants are doing it at the moment.Whatever the food is always good and plenty and they have 22 beers on drought and offers on drin ks and food every day.Food is served until 10pm every night except Fri and SaT when it is 11pm aNd they are open until midnight every day except Fri and SsturdaY when it is 1am.The staff are great and the Customers are great. We have made at least 20good friends and I mean Good friends who are now close friends ,since going there.If you want grest food,great.drinks,meet nice people,this is the place.I always saY there is always an ear that will.listen and someone to laugh with.I do not understand the bad reviews of whic h I saw only four going bac to20 21.This is NOT this place.“

“I typically go to the other one up on fuqua, but really enjoyed my visit to this one. Krystal was attentive and my order came out a lot quicker than it does at the one up where I normally go. Timeout menu and food over all is pretty good at both locations. Enjoyed my visit.“

“This is a neighborhood duve bar. If that is not what you are looking for, don't go and bother the folks inside.
If it is what you are looking for, go and pull up the bar and have a few drinks. Zach and Brian will take good care of you. Play some music on the jukebox or go upstairs and shoot some pool.

Go in the evening so you don't come and disturb our day drinking.“

“Hidden gem!! We dined-in during our trip over Memorial Day 2021 and we were surprised with how delicious the food was. The salsa that came with the chips & salsa was super flavorful but not overly spicy. Their crab balls are Amazeballs!! You HAVE to order them! So yummy! Best I’ve had anywhere. The Cajun seafood pasta is delicious and is served in a massive portion that can easily be split between 2 people. Generous serving with lots of shrimp, sausage, and chicken. The fried pickles were fantastic. Sharp dills, great thickness, light batter. I ordered a side of red beans & rice as my main dish and it has a great texture and a hint of tart vinegar...would be best paired with cornbread or the amazing crab balls. I had a regular margarita on the rocks. It was ok. It was the most mediocre thing we ordered...so you KNOW the food is good. The music is great. We were here on Saturday from 8:30-10pm and the playlist was a great mix of Motown jams. 10/10 would recommend The Fish Place. We Absolutely recommend dining at this hidden gem!“
