My son and I have been visiting 100% and eating their little delicious tacos since for 20+years . The tortilla soup is also authentic, with just enough spice, and you can get it without the tortillas and just a fresh avocado (my favorite). The Mexican flag is another favorite. We’ve sampled about everything and no complaints. The margaritas and other frozen refreshments are spot on too. Just a fun, affordable place to take the family for dinner.

Authentic Mexican food! Must try. We love about 25 miles away, but we make the drive at least twice a month to come eat here. The food is getting to be expensive but it is still worth the drive. I love the quesadillas, the sopes, the tacos, mole, Banderitas, and margarita. Their margaritas are very small though. They are too expensive for the price. I still get them when I want a treat, but that's the only time. If they were cheaper, I'd buy more often. If they had a happy hour, I'd go more often. I like that the owner is a University of Houston alumnus, go Coogs! They often decorate the place kinda weird with skeletons even for Christmas. It's like it took them a lot of time to decorate for Halloween and Dia de los muertos that they are not about to take the skeletons down, just slap a Santa hat on it and call it a day. A little tacky, but remember, you are there for the food not the decor.

We just happened to stop by as we needed a quick lunch. The decorations are so much fun. The tacos are great. Overall great experience. We will be back. Try the al pastor tacos and the asado ones. I’ll come back to try the carajillos!

I was there to hear the mariachis for Mexican Independence Day. First and foremost, the mariachis were advertised to perform from 6 to 9 p.m. The times were advertised with a flyer at the restaurant plus on Facebook. They didn't come until 7 p.m. I rushed to get there by 6 p.m. to grab a table. The place wasn't crowded at all. Perhaps it's because it was a Monday. Furthermore, I wanted to take my Dad who's in his 80s and enjoys mariachis. Through Facebook messenger, they had told me they don't reserve tables. When I arrived, a big section was reserved for the family of the owner. I understand that part. But there was a second table on the second row reserved too.
I decided to order a pineapple margarita. They cost $9 with house tequila. That's pricey for the small one. And it was nothing to write home about. For my meal, I ordered black bean sopes with no onions. They're ok. They forgot the cilantro. And the sopes tend to be dry. I was craving something sweet and got a tres leches slice. Their cake is delicious. However, it didn't come with the mini Mexican flag nor colored red and green sugar it had been advertised as. My friend did enjoy her tacos thoroughly. She's Mexican and says they're really authentic. The mariachis hired to perform at the restaurant for Mexican holidays always put on a great show.

The food is ok but not phenomenal. The portion sizes are stingy and if you want something it's an up charge. Despite paying the up charge the portion is stingy and not worth paying for. In that case you are better off going elsewhere. How are you going to have a torta that typically comes with beans & cheese without those ingredients and expect the customer to pay for them? Same thing with the flautas they typically come with cream, cheese, lettuce & avocado but charge for those things? It's just not worth the hype you are most definitely better off going to an authentic Mexican restaurant.

Disappointed on how things have turned out with this place it used to be expensive but now it's just ridiculous. Almost $20 for six small tacos with nothing special on them is insane. Got greedy and are banking on the wealth of the locals.
Love everything here.
Please open a new location in the Spring Branch area!

Had the Tacos de carne asada y de pastor. Pretty good and the handmade tortilla had a lot to do with that. Meat quality was better on the asada. People behind the register were very open and friendly. Couldn't care for the decorations but I didn't pull up for the decorations I pulled up for the food and I ate a bunch so that says a lot considering it was pricey. Good vs pricey ratio makes it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5.

Place was really pretty and the staff super helpful the food was ok honestly nothing special, they have some interesting drinks I'd definitely like to try next time. They messed up one of the orders and the beans where not good anymore so we had to exchange them for something else.
