Did not know what to expect from this little restaurant. Food pies was delicious. Especially the lamb and curry pie, they had a mild to medium spicy level. Which is perfect for me. The chicken mushroom was surprisingly good even though Iā€™m not a big mushroom eater.

2 Phat Bastard Pies are perhaps the only restaurant of its kind in Houston selling South African meat pies with an Indo flair. I've been several times, and the food is always top-notch quality with plenty of fillings to choose from. Each pie is made to order so the bread is fresh and flaky. My wife and I always order two, and we split and share halves. What's my favorite? All of them...seriously. We always get samoosas, and if we're really hungry, we add fries that...

Picked up frozen pies so we could enjoy these back in Louisiana. The friendly owners packed them perfectly for me and gave me ice to keep them cool. Just cooked some for dinner - delicious and satisfying šŸ˜‹. We will be back
