Unique cafe with retro vibes. I’m following the Houston Cafe Passport recommendations. It does not disappoint! This cafe is perfect for trying something new, and not your typical cafe shop. A bit pricey, however it is a treat worth indulging. Would recommend if you are in the Houston area.
Active Passion Coffee is such a gem in Houston! I came on a day when they had a halal menu and couldn’t resist—I got everything along with a few drinks, and everything was absolutely delicious. I like this place but it could be amazing with a few tweaks. Some suggestions: (i) please less AC, it is always freezing in there, (ii) music is often much too loud and harsh, would be better with some gentler coffee shop/indie music that's more conducive to reading/working/studying/even talking (iii) the food is pretty good but mostly feels pretty unhealthy (tacos are on the oily side, lots of the food is quite salty).
