Tried the lunch special. Spicy tuna roll and spicy shrimp roll, called spicy crunch. Happened to be lunch time so ordered from the lunch menu. Both rolls were so tasty, included miso soup and salad that were great as well. Lunch menus price was fantastic. I will be back. All for $12.95. Amazing deal.
I got the spicy tangy chicken egg drop soup and sampler appetizer . The appetizer was very good no complaints! The fried rice was good too, but the chicken and egg drop soup wasn’t. The chicken had no flavor although it was supposed to be spicy tangy, only thing spicy was the jalapeños. I wasn’t fond of the texture of the chicken it tasted like to chicken skin too soft and slimy. Some cuts of the meat made me question what I am eating. Egg drop soup a texture thing as well...
Akashi has alot of options. For lunch, you cannot beat their prices and quality, especially the bento boxes. For dinner, I always do sushi rolls or the sashimi/nigiri plates. Lunch is never too packed bit for dinner, show up around 5-6 or closer to 8 as it gets busy. Also, they have great Moscow Mules.
