I stayed in Royal Sonesta and this is where I had my breakfast every day. The wait staff is very kind, polite and helpful and the food is tasty and varied. A special shout out for Mrs Alma and Mrs Maria, who always greeted me with a smile, and made me feel at home.

Nightmare stay. Nonworking elevators. Stair walks up and down from the 11th floor. Received a note from staff apologizing for the elevator inconvenience and then passive aggressively blaming guests for the malfunction of all 4 elevators. No luggage carts available and no help with luggage. Terrible food. No room service as kept getting answering service. Front staff was not helpful in getting in touch with room service or letting me know if they were/weren’t operating. No daily cleaning service unless you request it which is not told to you upon check in. Overwhelmed staff underprepared to take on the amount of guests staying. What a mess! And to top it off the rooms are old, small, and dingy. Stay somewhere else!

I was there for breakfast and went for the avocado toast.Toasts were very good, crunchy with a good amount of avocado guacamole. The side salad was good too with a nice mustard dressing.Service was great as well.I would go there again as well as recommend this place for breakfast.

Really great place for breakfast inside the hotel. The kids had a $9 buffet breakfast with a selection of pancakes and we got the omelette. Everything tasted delicious and the servers we very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend if you want to stay on site and not drive out.

Breakfast is the only meal served and it is splendid. There's everything from cereal, hot meals, waffles and assortment of fruits, juices, tea and coffee. They will let you take a cup of any drink of your choice for the road. Service is great.
I enjoyed the meal provided by ARA during a recent trip to Houston. The food was quite good and the service was top notch. It was a little different than a standard meal here as I was part of a business reception that was held there. I would imagine the excellent service would be there regardless.

We went for their special prixe fixe menue on Christmas eve and it was an excellent value. Started with a lovely bread basket and fresh butter. Entree was Prime Rib (a bit overdone) with veggies and potatoes, and for an extra $10 salad, a glass of wine and dessert. It was an excellent deal and we had almost the whole restaurant to ourselves. The hotel decorations were lovely and we stopped for a few photos. Parking was $10.
