We went to the Bar 9 lounge within the hotel and Ed was our server, he was absolutely amazing!!! The drinks were delicious and he was so kind to us. He made our trip to Houston extra special!

I went to Bar 9 to grab a drink with my wife and what a great time it was thanks to Ed! The drinks were an absolute hit, highly recommend his Smoked Brisket Old Fashioned or BBQ Margarita. He really made our experience bright and had us smiling. Definitely make a stop there!

The bed was very comfortable! The room was nice, only problem was that there was a moist/moldy smell in the air. The elevator got stuck while my friend was on it trying to go to her car. The parking sucks, we were waiting for about 45 minutes to get out because the attendant didn’t know where the master key was.

Good: Huge suite rooms; TWO bathrooms!!!; good beds & pillows; great blackout shades; good HVAC and controls; fast elevators; lots of drawers; excellent sound-proofing; nice views from floor 15 looking NW; bar in the hotel; take-out "restaurant" with OK food Not so good: no microwave (who doesn't have a microwave these days???; neighborhood has no markets/convenience stores and only a handful of restaurants (mostly take out) serving the medical center; extra daily charge (bad) that can be used as a credit in the hotel (good) Only one hotel (ZaZa - v $$$) in the museum district; this was the closest and still 1/2 hour walk; VERY convenient to the medical centers, Rice University and Hermann Park

False advertising. Presidential suite booked. Said it has 2 beds, a bathroom with a tub, and a separate shower. Even details like a phone in the tub. Facts: only has one bed so sleeping for 3 means someone sleeps on the couch which is not a pullout. They don’t even offer a second bed in an attaching room. And no bathtub at all. The king size bed doesn’t even fit in the frame so careful no one falls in the 2-3” crack. Pool view but you can’t get out to the pool despite having 3 sliding doors.

Great hotel. Suite was very spacious with a good size dressing area beside the bathroom and also has an extra half bath. The staff are outstanding. Every employee that i encountered during this stay was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Hilton Medical Plaza is very well maintained in my favorite section of Houston, Rice University. Close to several world renowned Hospitals and Clinics. Their list of restaurants in the area are varied to any gastronomic taste and price range.

A Stage IV cancer diagnosis makes your world stop: so many unknowns, so many decisions, so much uncertainty. When seeking treatment at MD Anderson, I selected to stay at the Hilton Medical Center. As a Gold Status member, certain privileges like room upgrades and food credits are afforded to the customer. I have been staying at this hotel on each trip to MD Anderson Cancer Center since October of 2022. Most times, my stay had to be modified, either extended or shortened. This is quite common, and, as the hotel staff acknowledged, something they work with on a daily basis. When undergoing treatments, flexibility is key. I have never had an issue modifying my stay. Sadly, this was not the case on my most recent trip in February 2023. I was booked for a two night stay, but had to go home a day early because I was literally too sick to undergo chemotherapy. When I checked out about 10AM, a manager (Karla) informed me she had chosen to enforce the one night penalty policy. This had NEVER been done before, and when I expressed my concern, she told me several different versions of untruths. She said the "policy had changed" and also that she "tried to remove the charge and the computer would not allow her to do so." When I called the Hilton Honors Customer Service, I spoke with Carl who explained that the policy states that the hotel "may" charge fees. It is at the discretion of the hotel employee. Carl called the hotel and spoke with Courtney, who said I would not be charged for the additional night. But, Karla would have none of it. I was going to have to pay. On a follow up call with Karla on Tuesday, she refused to grant me the courtesy of waiving the cancellation penalty. She did acknowledge that the courtesy of waiving penalties had been granted in the past, but she was choosing to penalize a loyal Gold Status cancer patient who was so sick she had to return home immediately. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled.

The hotel is very convenient to the Texas Medical Center facilities. The rooms are clean and well stocked with amenities. There is a coffee bar next to check in that is excellent and the staff are friendly. The restaurant is small and under staffed. The food is mediocre at best. Find another place to eat.

Excellent experience from the time we checked in and received a warm welcome to the time we checked out. All staff were friendly, caring and kind. The common areas of the hotel and including our room were spotlessly clean. We loved the floor plan of our room with a king bed and full bath in a separate room from a living room with a wet bar and half bath. I always go over bathroom floors with Lysol cleaner and paper towels to make sure they are clean and these were totally clean! We receiving a text after we checked in to see if there was anything new needed and appreciated the quick response with the request for more towels. The made to order omelette at the cafe was super tasty. We were here for medical reasons so it was very much appreciated to return to our quiet, clean and beautiful room after a day of testing. We will be back.

Convenient to MD Anderson with complimentary shuttle. 1st problem - Their incoming phone lines were down for the first 2 days - so couldn’t call for return shuttle. 2nd- although the rooms were very spacious, the building and decor was dated, dark and dreary. No attempt was made to put a little cheer in the atmosphere. Most of the time, the employees were unkempt and no uniforms in sight. 3rd- it was also clear that they knew they were serving disabled and/or otherwise unwell customers that might have had no energy to fight bad or no service . it was almost as if we were invisible. 4th- To have at least 12 floors of rooms, you would expect some decent kind of food service. Just a bar with odd hours and a very limited menu of spicy hot Mexican food. I finally was able to order rice ( it came in a styrofoam cup) 37 dollars!!!! No butter, salt, gravy, etc. They certainly knew that they had a captive audience and it showed. Shame on them.
