this is one of the best restaurants in Houston, especially in the river oaks area. The staff take care to keep a clean and safe place to eat. The food is good.
This new location is beautiful. The best they did is moving to heights!
I had a fantastic time here today, lunch was incredible. Everything was so delicious.
Not Conservative friendly. Went to Barnaby's Cafe on S Shepherd this morning for Fathers Day. Waited forever to have my order taken. Then after my order was taken 4 other tables that ordered after me were served their food. It became apparent I was not being waited on because I was wearing a Trump 2020 Button. Left and went somewhere else to eat. Please, if you are a conservative be aware you are not welcome at this business.
Awesome place to eat. The service isn't the best but the food is great.

Don't have enough good things to say about this place. Delicious food and generous portions! Favorite appetizers- spinach artichoke dip, wontons, waffle fries. Great burgers and chicken dishes. Very tasty salads. Amazing fries! Love their lemonade also
Solid breakfast place. I've been to several locations of Barnaby's around Houston and always had a good experience with their food. Granted, I always order the same thing, Green Eggs ($10.95). My boyfriend gets the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs ($10.95) and he really likes it. Prompt service and fast food preparation. It's always a nice place to stop by for delicious and quick breakfast. I'll definitely try other things on the menu next time I visit, because they all sound very appetizing.
Such a horrible experience that we decided not to eat. We waited just about 45 mins to be seated. After we sat we waited a few minutes more just to be greeted by a server in such a hurry (from the looks of it, it was not super busy at the time.) She did not introduce herself, (blonde waitress working the outside area.) It was my friend's first time at Barnaby's and she asked the waitress if she could inform her of what certain salads consisted of and the waitress replied "are you serious? That would take me a year to do" and proceed to say we can go on google and search the menu for the information. Also, I tried to clarify my order with her before she rushed off but instead she said "I got it I got it" and a few minutes later she came back and asked me to repeat my order... if she hadn't cut me off in the first place my order could have been placed properly the first time. Once the server slapped her thigh after we asked for dressing for our salads it was the final straw. The waitress seemed frustrated for whatever reason. Her attitude was very nasty. I have never received such service from the Binz location. I will never return to this location.
Like what some other reviews have said before me, this place doesn't disappoint! The food is fresh and the portions are large. You come in hungry but you leave happy. This place also has an awesome hipster vibe and some really creative takes on the food that they do. One thing for sure, you will never look at the menu here and think this is boring standard food. One of my favorite items that I've had here has to be the waffle fries. Oh my goodness they were so delicious! I'm drooling just thinking about them. When you see waffle fries, the first thought that comes into your head is probably Chick-Fil-A. But these are like those fries on a whole different level. These fries are fried crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside, the perfect textural contrast. On top of that, you heap on delicious blue cheese crumbles for some of that wonderful cheesy funk and a fantastic house gravy that is rich and creamy, you are literally in french fry heaven. Once you start eating, you just don't want to stop until you have scraped every last bit off of the plate. Truly a fantastic place that people should go to! :)
Good quality meats, fresh produce, generous portions, reliably tasty for nearly two decades. Yes, that's about 20 years! Barnaby's never disappoints! And their one entry one exit to maintain social distancing is a winner. Coronavirus has not slowed them down!
Went in to pick up lunch today and the 2 guys there were more worried about counting the change in the register and cleaning the door handle than attending customers. When they did acknowledge me they told me my order was not ready, despite the large pile of food waiting by the kitchen. Waited almost 10 minutes as they continued cleaning and counting before reminding them to check on my order. Coin counter couldn’t be bothered, other guy angrily goes to check and lo and behold it had been up there the ENTIRE time. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants lately and while most are busy I’ve never seen such horrible service, especially when I was the only customer there. Also as I walked out one of them pulled out nail clippers... behind the counter. Yum.
The meatloaf was so good. And the potatoes were perfect and the spinach was fantastic. It was even hot when delivered. Love this place. The food is always good and the service has outstanding.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. The service is top notch. Every single employee that we were in contact with was excellent. Very patient and go out of their way to provide great service. The food is amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Barnaby’s. They also have a doggie friendly patio.
One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Houston. The salads are out of this world. You cannot go wrong no matter what dish you order! They have been in business for a long time and as consistent as they can be in serving excellent food!
