Left a tunnel and found myself in this area. There's a small lunch menu that ends @2pm. Bar and restaurant seating

Decided to dine at Birraporetti's as it was conveniently next door to the Alley Theatre. We entered through the back entrance, and was greeted half way by a hostess, and was seated right away. Our server was friendly, as well as the servers that delivered our food. We order stuffed mushrooms caps as an appetizer. It wasn't heavily stuffed, but it was heavy on the cheese. Really enjoyed it. For entree, I tried the Marco Polo, which was linguine, shrimp and chicken in a Thai sweet chili sauce. Not something you'd expect in an Italian restaurant, but it was pretty good. My friend had the pasta primavera, which were also really good. We didn't have time or room in our belly for dessert, but all the options looked great. The restaurant itself has ample seating and reminded me of an Italian restaurant in NYC. I recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back. There is 3 hour max street parking, or parking in the Alley Theatre parking garage.

My husband and I came here for dinner for our 7th year anniversary and was blown away. The ambiance was so elegant and romantic feeling. The waitress was great, very sweet and pleasant. She answered all questions and explained everything clearly, and always made sure we were ok. The food was so good, everything just nelt my mouth. This Italian restaurant is a must return. I could not find one thing wrong. I'm glad we chose this restaurant for our special night.

Disappointed with meal and service. First time to Houston and this looked like a lovely spot but despite the nice atmosphere the waitress was miserable and food mediocre. You can find better!

We visited Birraporetti's before going to the Wortham Center for a show. I had heard about it for years and finally had the opportunity to try it out! The atmosphere was nice and had a vibe that was open to business and casual dress. The food came out great and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the bar scene but will definitely make more time in the future!

Atmosphere and service were great. Not sure when the food quality took a nose dive. Fettuccine was bland, parm was dry and who puts Kraft American cheese singles on a turkey bacon club that cost $17. This use to be a great spot that checked all the boxes (food, service and atmosphere).

We were downtown for a play. We check the website and it said they closed at 11:00. We arrived at 10:25 and they said they were closed. We weren't even going for a table, just to the bar. There are many other people from the play still sitting there drinking.

This place was AMAZING! We got the curtain call meals and cannot complain about anything we had. It was close enough to the Hobby center for us to walk there after eating for our show that night. 1000% would recommend this restaurant to anyone

This was my 1st time dining here since 1993!! Food was just as good as I remember. However, the waiter and the hostess were both unbelievably rude, esp when I called to say I'd be running a little late. But I told the Mgr about it, and he apologized profusely and said he speak to his staff, esp the hostess, who it seemed to me had an attitude problem 10 miles long. We all have bad days, but she acted like I was keeping HER from something more pressing. And let me tell you, shortly after my aunt and I were seated(and this was like around 6PM on a Saturday night), it wasn't so busy anymore. So there really was no excuse for her rudeness. Still. I live in Ohio and was just in town for the weekend. When I told the manager this, he again apologized and said he'd treat me a free drink and dessert next time I come in (I'll be back in Houston mid July).Again, I want to emphasize, the food was expensive. And it was worth it!! I had forgotten how I loved Borraporetti's---both the food and the atmophere.

Location is perfect. Ambiance great and service staff was good, takes a while to get your drinks. The chicken was dry in the Chicken Alfredo you could not taste goat cheese sauce in the Pasta Poretti

We enjoy dinging with Birraporetti's in the Theater District because the food is good and the location works great for us. Last night we were seated immediately even though we were 10 mins early. Our server was kind and helpful. Not sure if its the size or the number of tables but I do wish we'd see wait staff a little more often. Our meals were tasty and hot, we dined in plenty of time to make a performance at The Alley.

It's always a pleasure when you're going to an event after dinner and the server makes themselves aware and paces your meal accordingly. This is the norm at Birraporetti's. We tried something different on the menu again and, as usual, Birraporetti's delivered on a great pasta dish.
