The ropa vieja was not bad, but the Cuban sandwich and croquetas were mediocre. This was overall a disappointing experience. I keep hoping to find good Cuban food in Houston, but this was not it.
Service was good, food average. Needs better food, cuban bread, they were out of a lot of stuff.
The experience was not a 5 because the music was cancelled, some deserts were not available and they were having trouble with electronic payment (at the moment of paying it was solved). Service and food consumed was a 5!
María’s service was outstanding from start to finish. She was kind, attentive, and always had a smile on her face. She made sure our table had everything we needed and explained the menu in detail, recommending dishes that turned out to be delicious. Her service was fast, professional, yet very friendly, which made our dining experience even better. We’ll definitely come back and ask to be served by her again!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was exceptional in every way, but I especially have to highlight María. She is simply the most charming and attentive person you could ever meet. Her kindness and dedication truly made our visit special. If you go, make sure to say hi to María, because she’s the heart of this place. Highly recommended!

Terrible, terrible service. The restaurant was almost empty when we entered and placed our order. No one else came in after us (and now I know why). We waited 30 minutes but no food came out. I asked the waitress what was the problem. She said she didn’t know. I then asked when our meals would come out, she said, “I don’t know; maybe in 10 minutes.” We left, and won’t be going back. Don’t believe the 5 star reviews. I’ll be surprised if this place doesn’t go out of business in a few months.

Sat outside and was just the best. Nice seating area and great service!! The lechón was spectacular! I loved how fresh the beet salad was and it was really delicious. Loved the stuffed tostones, they were super full of flavor. Really enjoyed and can’t wait to go back.

We always go by this place, and we finally checked it out. It's super cute from the outside, and inside, it's all fancy with chandeliers and pink tablecloths. I ordered ceviche typical for appetizer and it was delicious. Then I ordered pasta with veggies for my entree, and it was a huge portion and delicious. My boyfriend got the classic Cuban dish with shredded beef and tomato sauce, and we thought it was just alright. The plantain dessert with red onion was... interesting. My boyfriend tried two different drinks and didn't like them, but their old-fashioned was good! They also had live music, and it was really good.

Thank you Buena Vista going above and beyond in accommodating 20 of us for my husband’s birthday.
Since the moment reservation was taken I was made comfortable by the staff. They provided me with all of the information necessary for our big party. So if you are looking to host a birthday keep in mind:
- no minimum to be spent per person
- They can do separate checks
- No cake cutting fee
- On Saturday’s there is a live band that starts at 9PM (thank you for singing happy birthday for my husband)
- there is a huge paid parking garage behind the building - ticket can be validated for 2 hours
The food was really good. We ordered the Cuban board and ceviches to begin with. Followed by many of their entrees which were huge portions and loved by everyone.
Overall what made this birthday a success was the wonderful staff, Laura and Richard… thank you so much! You all exceeded our expectations!

The octopus was very tough. And we only ordered one bit were brought two. And charged for two. Music was too loud to have a conversation.
We stopped by on a Friday around 4pm. The restaurant was hot, as it has big glass windows. The restaurant was decorated beautifully. Service was a little slow, and not very attentive. As far as the food goes, mashed yuca was the best bite. We ordered masitas de puerco, ropa vieja, and Afro-Cuban slow roasted pork. All three meats were salty and dry unfortunately. We were quite disappointed as we love Cuban food. We also thought it was a bit on the pricey side.
