“Came here for dinner. I've tried the Shabu Signature broth, Tom Yum, and Mala Sichuan. All are great but I prefer the Mala since I like the spicy kick. Sauce bar has a great variety of condiments for your tastes to experiment. Great mix of veggies and hotpot add ins such as noodles. The meat definitely hits the spot ? Tried the oyster shooters and they got the appetite going while waiting for the broth to boil. Service from our waiter was attentive and they cleared the table in an adequate matter after finishing the different cuts of meat. The Bing Su station was also pleasant. Not the best Bing Su you can get around these parts but it does the job to satisfy your dessert cravings and cool down your mouth. The staff kept most of the buffet bar well stocked and clean. Atmosphere has a warm modern feel that I appreciated. Would definitely come back for more!“

“I live in New York City and in Houston, Texas, and on Friday 8-29-25, while in Houston I had 20 minutes until the restaurant closed, so I went ahead and called China Sea Hibachi Buffet, while driving and spoke with Lei (Li) one of the daughters, a very classy and professional lady.

I let her know that I will be there shortly before they close and if she could wait for me.

She told me to give her exactly what I wanted and she would make the takeout plates for me and prepare them for when I arrived because she remembered who I was.

I arrived at 9:54pm and the restaurant was closing at 10pm CST.

Lei (Li), had 3 boxes of food prepared and ready for me and it truly touched my heart that she was professional and kind enough to do that for me.

“I tried almost everything they have to offer, the crawdads were spicy and tasty, sushi was good sashimi could be a bit thicker cut, but fresh! Shrimp 🍤 was good size and fresh, didn't break apart when you peel. All in all definitely recommend Buffet King 🤴“

“The buffet location most frequently visited since other nice spots have closed and were ahead of their time (remember Fu-Kim on Fannin?). Best time to come is when they open; you view the staff loading the buffet trays, get seated at your desired location and enjoy the freshly prepared items. I've also enjoyed their food at different times- still good but more difficult to get a table where you want ?. Photos show some of the selections offered - and they currently are serving delicious pineapple and watermelon fresh fruit during the dinner and weekend buffet times.
Photos are from the lunch time opening - IHOP had a 40 minute wait, so we went to the buffet which opened at 11AM - a better option anyway ?. Enjoy the photos!“

“This is such a unique place. The people were wonderful. Food great selection. The fact that the have a store inside that you can shop is outstanding. They even offer fish food so you can feed the fish. ( you do have to buy it). But it's so fun. They have so many Koi fish. They have so many great choices for jade jewelry, bonsai, money plants and much much more. And the lady is more than will to talk you through it all. Great atmosphere. Worth the trip from Baytown. Price was great too. We will be back. Even if it's just to buy from the store. Lol.“

“This place has been here since I was a kid and nothing has changed other than the quality, which has improved. This is the most basic of Chinese buffets but done just right and for the right price. Nothing fancy here just working class families and a working class Chinese buffet.“
