Had a dinner here when we celebrated a friend's birthday back in August. I was introduced to Cafe Kottu by a Yelp friend. She liked this place because of the variety of Southeast Asian cuisines at one place. I was in a hurry that day and I didn't get a chance to fully experience that. I ordered a takeout, which I regretted. That was cold by the time I got home. I really need to come back for some real good food.
Got the chicken 65 and crumbled rolls with fish for appetizers. The chicken was so moist and was delicious. The rolls were also hearty, but they lacked some salt and flavor. For mains, got the fried chicken fried rice, street kottu, goat vindaloo, and lamb chettinad. For dessert, we had the watalappam and mango sticky rice. Thought the fried chicken fried rice was a typo, but turns out it's really fried chicken tenders on rice! The rice was good, but the fried chicken was bland....read full review

I came to Cafe Kottu with some friends for a birthday dinner. It was on a weekday. There weren't many customers. It took a while for food to arrive. I think they were short staffed. I didn't have time to stay to enjoy the restaurant. I had to go back to work. Maybe next time when I am in the area to try other dishes.
