The food was absolutely horrible. I mean Horrible..... The meat was overcooked, lacked flavor or it was salty. I've been here a few times before. The food quality has gone down big time. Trust me on this. If you are looking for a good chinese buffet I recommend King Palace buffet off of 249 by Willowbrook.

one of the things i miss about texas the most. genuinely one of the most incredible buffets you can go to in texas if anything just for the vibes alone. my family has been visiting china bear for what feels like 10 or 15 years but who knows, it feels like it's always been there for us. i'm really happy to see that it's still up, and if i ever find myself in the north houston area, i will be back

This place used to be nice. It’s taken a huge nose dive over the past year or so, everything is sticky, the food is stale and dry, and the whole place kind of smells like a Port-a-potty. :-(

First time coming here, it was nice. Food was ok, it was sort of late so there wasn't much fresh stuff to grab. Over all it was a nice place to come throughout the day. Especially to see these beautiful Kois they have walking up to the door entrance.
Did I mention they have a nice gift shop inside as well!?

Horrible. Not like it used to be. After their shut down from covid, I believe this place died too. Food is such a disgrace. Cold and bland. First place force fully ate bc now they charge you $5 for unfishined food.
Placed used to be packed and crowded now theres hardly any ppl there and now I know why!

Frozen Trader Joe’s meals would’ve been better. It was nearly $40 for 2 people. They charged full price even though half the food was put away and what was left, there wasn’t much remaining on the food line. The food was just gross- reminiscent of week old chicken that’s been blasting in the microwave. Also, the waitress didn’t introduce herself and barely spoke 2 sentences to us while we were there. I would actually like a refund because that was horrible.

I had a too good to order from China bear. When I got there at the restaurant looked abandoned like it hadn't been operated in a while.

This place use to be the spot, always busy and great food. We went in today and it is not the same. Food was mediocre and not kept warm. My wife even got some noodles with a long black hair.
