A dinner at Churrascos is always great, and the River Oaks location is not an exception to the greatness of their food. The salad with oranges, goat cheese, candied nuts and and a super tasty dressing was a perfect start. My wife wanted to go here for our anniversary dinner. Her Venezuelan mother used to take her and her siblings their when they moved to the states.
So it was symbolic/nostalgic… and magical.
Our server was celebrating her anniversary today - and we just loved her service (so angry I can’t remember her name nor do I have a physical receipt).
Empanadas were A+
As were all the meats, chicken, sausage we had for dinner.
PARRILLADA MIXTA and the NY Strip — amazing.
And...
Showed up at 7 on a Thursday. Basically had the whole restaurant to ourselves. There was a large party in a private room but they had doors closed and another table in the main dining area. Services was good but not great. The waiter barely spoke English. He didn't understand what we asked for and brought us extra food we didn't intend to order. He said he would remove it from our ticket. We were offered a free desert as a birthday gift since it was my birthday dinner...
