Purchased a birthday cake and added fruit on top. Cake was just okay but the worst part was when I went to cut the cake, we noticed that there was mold already growing on the blueberries. Y'all gotta use fresh fruit.

Omg omg 😍😬🤤, this place is so freaking cute and delicious. Cute ass pastries and taste just as good. Was in the area for the Kim son Buffet and stopped by here. Glad I did. I got the Ube cupcake and omg omg it was so tasty. Not too sweet, soft, airy , and all the above. I got this cute mango mouse cake as well. Super delicious not sweet as well. Will definitely be back when visiting Houston again

The best bakery in Houston

My husband and I were at a close friend’s wedding and they had the most delicious ube cake. We asked them where they bought their wedding cake from and it was Desseire!

Ever since then, we have been diligently ordering our big event cakes from here, most recently our gender reveal and baby shower. My husband is obsessed with the pandan cake, which is so moist and flavorful.
They really work with you on what you want and you will not be disappointed by the flavors and quality of their cakes and pastries.

I ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s birthday and had a very disappointing experience. When I placed the order, the staff assured me they couldn’t guarantee a 100% match to my inspiration photo but would match at least 85%. Unfortunately, when I picked up the cake, the only things they got right were the shape and the 3D sugar photo. The color wasn’t even close to the light blue in the photo I provided—it was dark blue instead. The decorations were completely different as well, despite the fact that they charged me an extra $40 to supposedly source the exact materials from the photo.

When I tried to address this with the store afterward, it took them days to respond to my first message. When I replied back, they completely ignored me and never responded again. Clearly, they didn’t care anymore since they already had my money. The cake costs me $125.

The store also blamed the issue on filters in my inspiration photo, claiming it made the colors appear different. However, anyone could clearly see that the cake in the photo was light blue, not the dark blue they used. To make matters worse, they questioned why I accepted the cake at pickup if I wasn’t happy. It’s outrageous—does the store expect me to show up to my daughter’s birthday party without a cake?

The entire situation was a disaster, and my daughter cried so hard on her special day. The store’s poor response and shady business practices were completely unacceptable. If you’re considering ordering a custom cake for a special occasion, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere!

I felt in love with Desseire French Bakery. Everything is so fresh and delicious. I got to try cupcakes and Choux, a cream filled puff pastry. They come in variety of flavors. I don't have a favorite one yet. I am still trying them all. Cupcakes were cute and I can place a greeting on the icing. Very cute. There are not many seats inside. It's more like a takeout restaurant.

My first purchase was for my graduation Dec 2023, I got a matcha cake. I was not disappointed at all with taste but the frosting to cake ratio was off. A bit too much frosting in comparison to the cake abundance. Since I enjoyed the cake, it was not dry at all I chose to order my anniversary cake. I was somewhat happy with the choice since you can clearly see the straw leaving a hole at the top of the cake. I should have mentioned something at pickup but I was in a bit of a rush. Since it was just for my husband and myself we were okay with it. Our anniversary cake is a red velvet with vanilla cream. We were very ecstatic about the taste of it all. Once again taste of the cake was above expectation and very soft, and fluffy. The creme was a great balance. The red of the flowers and cake bled a bit into the white of the cake. I would have preferred the writing to match the flowers but overall we are still happy with the cake.

My husband and I come often to Desseire for their caneles and macarons! These are also our favs from here.

Happy holidays! Picked up a last minute mini personal cake, very airy not overly sweet. Perfect for our small family dinner 🎄
