Sushi Miyagi Reviews
I lived in Japan for a few years and this is the best sushi I have had since coming back. Made me nostalgic not just the food but also the environment.
Amazing food but the wait is long
Excellent, fresh, authentic food, and worth the wait (2.5 hrs) on a Friday. The owners are wonderful people. Be kind and be patient folks.

Sushi Miyagi is a hidden Japanese restaurant in Houston run by a hardworking "mom and pop" team, an older Japanese couple who cook with passion. They are open for limited hours, and it is recommended to arrive early, as there can be a line out the door. The sushi is fresh and delicious, with generous portions—some rolls barely fit in the mouth one piece at a time. The lunch menu offers a wide variety of options. The sushi is thick, Japanese style and the best in town. The miso soup is worth every drop. The decor is a bit run-down but charming and cozy with eclectic decor and music. There are only about 7 tables, so only a limited number of customers are permitted. Service is slow and patience is a virtue, but the staff are always kind and helpful. The chirashi bowl is highly rated. Prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for authentic and delicious Japanese food in the heart of Chinatown.
