Love that this place closes late and has a variety of sweet treats to choose from (cake, ice cream, cookie, brownie, shakes etc) vs other dessert places typically only offer ice cream. Ordered the strawberry short cake which is big enough to share with someone or to save for later on. It was moist and had strawberry bits. Fudge brownie sundae was pretty standard, nothing special. Still giving 5 stars because my previous visits here have always been pleasant. Parking can be tight during peak time. I usually bring my out of town guests here to check out.
My partner and I used to come here for date nights but we will not be coming back. The girl at the register was very sweet but everything else fell flat. We ordered a warm apple dessert because it was cold outside and although we were dining in, it was given to us in to-go containers and VERY cold. We were never asked if we were taking it to go or if we were dining in so I’m not sure why there was an assumption made but it wasn’t that big of a deal at first. We asked to get it heated up and they took it back to the kitchen but after about 10 minutes, we still hadn’t gotten the dessert back. I went back to the front to ask about it and they called to the back: “can you get that apple Betty from the microwave?” And the kitchen said yes. After another 3-5 minutes or so, they finally brought it back out on a plate. It looked incredibly unappetizing AND WAS STILL COLD. We took the whole dessert back to the front and asked for a refund which they gave us but we definitely will not be back after this experience.
I love the tres leches cake unfortunately I'm not happy this time I paid extra to put happy birthday to my cake and it wasn't added.
We went 15 minutes before closing time. Although they had cleaned the coffee machine they made coffee for us. However i would’ve liked the presentation of the brownie sundae to be better. I do understand it was before closing time but I expected it to be served on a plate. Also not enough fudge so we had to ask for more
I swear I'm obsessed😊 anytime I go to Houston this is my MAIN priority over finding a hotel😂
I paid for an event. It was hard to do in the website at first. However, I was able to do it later on my phone.
This place is absolutely amazing!! (The tres leches is to die for)
Great service , I appreciate the hospitality
We can be found at Dessert Gallery at least once a week, picking up a treat for late night snack or birthday cake for a friend. You can't go wrong with a slice of their cake or a half dipped cookie!
Run and get the Tres Leches it is as good as Churrascos, and it is perfect to split, I liked the cupcakes, red velvet was my favorite, chocolate with buttercream a close 2nd, but did not like the Snickerdoodle cookie, it was much to much sugar. Will return, lots of options.

All employees are top notch! Chris was excellent and happy to help! We travel to Houston a couple of times a year and have our most loved spots! When we discovered DG our search for the best cake and cookies was over!
Keep up the love of baking, it shows in every bite🩷
The Lemon Blueberry cake was a big hit at the birthday party. It was flavorful, moist and delicious. It’s a little pricey but worth it. The cookies were also a big hit. Highly recommend!!!
Wow, they have beautiful desserts here. The coffee is good, too. I had a latte and it was fantastic.
I ordered a cake for my boyfriend’s surprise birthday. First, I will say the cake was delicious. My boyfriend tasted it even though he was extremely full and said that it tasted like a traditional tres leches cake. Although the cake was tasty, there were several issues with the delivery. I requested a delivery time of 11:30-12:30. When I called the bakery at 12:41, I was told that the bakery did not open until 12. This time slot should not be available if the bakery is not open during this time. Next, I called the bakery again at around 1:10 inquiring about the cake and was told that the cake was dropped off and signed for. I voiced my dissatisfaction that I was not notified and was told that the driver is good about notifying that the delivery had been made. Attached is my call log, showing the two calls that I placed to the bakery and none that were placed to me by “said driver.” By the time that the cake was found, several guests had dessert at the restaurant and were too full to try the cake. I feel that the delivery fee was a waste of money. If I decide to order again in the future, I will definitely choose “pick up” instead of “delivery.”
One of the best red velvet cupcakes I have ever tasted.
