It depends on what they get stars for. The eating area is small and crowded. We ordered roast beef sandwiches and a side salad. They put cheese on the salad without asking, the vegetables were cut so big they were hard to chew, the roast beef was so tough, it was hard to eat and tore my sandwich apart trying to take a bite. It was a mess and not a pleasant experience. I don’t recommend it unless you have shark teeth and stomach.

Low key the best food you'll ever have from a gas station. Gyro that rivals Niko Niko's

One of the best Greek restaurants in Houston. It is in a gas station, but there is a corner where you can sit that feels a little bit like Greece. The food is superb though.

Best Gyros in Houston!

I like the place. Decent food and prices. But the restaurant can use a face lift, and air conditioning or fan

I showed up at 11:45am on 2/22/26 to try it out but all of the doors were locked. I could not enter through the gas station or the out door gate that leads into the restaurant. I will update my review if I am able to try the food in the future. I’m bummed. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a few days now. Not sure why it’s all locked down almost an hour past its opening time. The sign is blinking open and the lights are on inside.

I was halfway through my gyro when I discovered a long hair tangled up in the chicken. It was intertwined in the meat, which means it happened during preparation. Needless to say, it completely ruined my appetite.

I tipped the guy expecting at least basic food handling standards. Finding something like that in the middle of my meal is gross and unacceptable.

Thanks for the unforgettable experience. I’ll be taking my appetite elsewhere next time.

I came to Ekko's Greek Deli because my friend recommended. We walked into the Valero gas station and this restaurant is being part of a convenience store. We had our food takeout. I didn't like the bun being soggy. But just okay. I'll try eat it at the restaurant next time.

The worst falafel I’ve had in my life (& yes, I’ve eaten plenty in Greece). I made the mistake of ordering it on wheat not realizing it would be American wheat bread. That shouldn’t even be an option at a place serving Greek food. The 3 falafels were small & dry. The price of $9.99 is a total rip off. Definitely never going back again.

Very good Greek food in a gas station convenience store. A few tables inside and outside if you want to eat there instead of on the go.
