El Quetzal Bakery is hands down the best place in Houston for custom cakes. Their creations aren’t just beautiful—they taste incredible too! Every cake I’ve ordered has been perfectly moist, flavorful, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
What truly sets them apart is their attention to detail. The designs are spot-on, whether you bring them a specific idea or give them creative freedom. They capture every little element flawlessly, and the craftsmanship shows in every slice.
The communication is also top-notch. From the very first message to pick-up day, they’re responsive, friendly, and committed to making sure you get exactly what you envisioned. Special shout-out to Alyssa, who goes above and beyond to make the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
If you want a cake that’s as stunning as it is delicious—and an experience that’s stress-free and personal—El Quetzal Bakery is the place to go. I can’t recommend them enough!

The food doesn't taste good, they charge you for a whole piece of lemon for a tamale, they give it to you for 50 cents or 1 dollar, nothing to see, terrible place.

I should have listen to my gut feelings about this restaurant. Terrible rubbery old I guess it was fajita meat that I paid extra for. Very slow waitress who spoke No English. I Entire restaurant spoke Allegedly No English until it came time for me to pay. Because, of the Bakery next door is the only reason why I gave this Restaurant my Business. Never Ever Will Do Any Business with both Establishments ever Again!!!!!!!!!!

Very good Chapina food. I like meat garnachas, not chicken, and corn atole and chuchitos. I'm Mexican but I like to try different foods.

A great spot for authentic Guatemalan food and baked goods. I love to visit, especially for the Kak’ik and Pepian. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. The environment is clean and the restaurant is actually a lot bigger than you’d think from the outside. ¡Gracias por siempre proveer excelente servicio! ??

I ordered a beef broth, I thought it was something delicious, it has no flavor, the broth just feels like water, and on another occasion I ordered a chicken pepian and they told me that it is not available, but because they have it on the menu that is order? What I think needs to be improved.
I like to go buy the delicious atol.
Bad service and food not to mention
