What made me dislike the restaurant is that they don't let the customer make changes to the menu, the customer has to be well served
The pan dulce is amazing but the food in the morning I wouldn’t recommend it got cold to my table. Definitely would go back but just for Pan not the food and that’s on me being Guatemalan.

We LOVE the Guatemalan bread from here. It’s truly the one that tastes more like home but the food is a hit or miss. We tried the tamales & the Pepian but they didn’t taste like my moms. The tamales are more from like the outskirts of Guatemala, made with rice mostly. Overall, we love coming here!

Authentic Guatemalan flavors and great service. Definitely recommended.
A friend of the family turned me onto El Quetzal Bakery when I needed a last minute birthday cake. Within 4 days Alyssa had a beautiful two tiered cake made for my wife and to say it was gorgeous would be an understatement. It was everything I had hoped for and more! So many compliments on the cake at the party. People kept asking where we got it from. I will definitely be using them again. Thank you El Quetzal and thank you Alyssa!

El Quetzal Bakery is hands down the best place in Houston for custom cakes. Their creations aren’t just beautiful—they taste incredible too! Every cake I’ve ordered has been perfectly moist, flavorful, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
What truly sets them apart is their attention to detail. The designs are spot-on, whether you bring them a specific idea or give them creative freedom. They capture every little element flawlessly, and the craftsmanship shows in every slice.
The communication is also top-notch. From the very first message to pick-up day, they’re responsive, friendly, and committed to making sure you get exactly what you envisioned. Special shout-out to Alyssa, who goes above and beyond to make the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
If you want a cake that’s as stunning as it is delicious—and an experience that’s stress-free and personal—El Quetzal Bakery is the place to go. I can’t recommend them enough!

The food doesn't taste good, they charge you for a whole piece of lemon for a tamale, they give it to you for 50 cents or 1 dollar, nothing to see, terrible place.

I should have listen to my gut feelings about this restaurant. Terrible rubbery old I guess it was fajita meat that I paid extra for. Very slow waitress who spoke No English. I Entire restaurant spoke Allegedly No English until it came time for me to pay. Because, of the Bakery next door is the only reason why I gave this Restaurant my Business. Never Ever Will Do Any Business with both Establishments ever Again!!!!!!!!!!
