Mayra did an excellent job assisting me in scheduling a catered lunch for a huge customer of mine. She was very kind and helpful throughout the entire process. Ruby was prompt in delivering and setting up the buffet. My VIP customer loved the lunch. It was absolutely delicious! I will definitely use you again! Thanks for knocking it out the park.
?This catering el Tiempo cantina is a joke with all their staff that they have if you are thinking of ordering food here think twice, you better burn that money waste ??????????????????????????????????????
We occasionally eat here before going to the soccer game (Dynamo/Dash) since the stadium is in the same general area as the restaurant with easy access. The food is good, and the service is always great. I usually have the beef fajita enchiladas or the shrimp enchiladas. It’s a little expensive but, if you go across the street to Ninfa’s, you’ll find the prices are about the same. I also like the family pictures on the wall which remind me of when I used to live in Harlingen. Good Parking.
Great staff and very professional
Visited El Tiempo on Navigation last night in Houston, TX w/a party of 14. We LOVED the food—the canon balls (oddly not on the menu, but recommended to us by my daughter who frequented this place when she lived in TX), guacamole, chips & salsa, pitcher margaritas (w/mango & strawberry add-ins), homemade tortillas & steak fajitas (on raised, charcoal griddle plates) were ALL INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend them all!!! Great service other than the fact that I had called them THREE times to confirm & add people to our business party/group & upon arrival they claimed our reservation had been canceled. This was SUPER frustrating when I had JUST CALLED that morning around 11am to add one more person to our headcount & repeated back to the guy with whom I spoke our exact reservation time & total head-count! We were also a bit shocked at the total bill (ended up $100+/head with tip & tax=$1500+/14 people) & the fact that the wait staff suggested WAY larger portions of our guacamole, queso & fajitas, & kept bringing pitchers of Margs we couldn’t drink. Four of us SHARED one order of fajitas, as well, and they apparently brought us a way more (MUCH higher-priced) “shared fajita” platter than we needed. We had enough fajitas left on the table to feed five to eight more people! So we felt the bill (& food chosen for us) was WAY too inflated!!! Overall, a great meal, but the staff need to do MUCH better with reservations & appropriating food & drink fairly!
You shouldn’t have to pay almost $20 to eat NACHOS!!! I honestly don’t understand why people go here. The flavor is not worth the price!!!
The food is very overpriced for the bland generic American Tex-Mex that is is. The food quality is very low and it really borders on cheap junk. The margarita's were good, but like the food, shamelessly overpriced. Maybe that's why people actually like the food....their drunk. After trying this and another location, I have no desire to ever go back. There is WAY better out there folks, and at reasonable Tex-Mex prices too Don't fall for the Ninfa's hype.
