Only 3 of us and yes we needed to split the bill. Why so difficult? It took 30+ minutes and me getting up looking for waiter until approached by management, for the second time to get him to take the bill. Then another 10 minutes to bring bill back with our cards. This is ridiculous!!!! And so disappointing because I chose this place for a small reunion of FirstCity co-worker. My to go order at 4:51 and at 5:32 we are still waiting for waiter to return with our cards. WHY?? Never again this location!!

I live in Kentucky but I haven't been to Houston in many years. Came back to Houston with my fiance. She loved, loved and loved Houston. My cousin picked us up and took us to El Tiempo. Food was amazing. Fajitas were tender. Tortillas were on point. Salsa was the shit and the staff, the best. We recommend El Tiempo if you want good service and good food. Hey, dont take my word for it. Go try it out for yourself.

The food here is always amazing. The Mexican Kiss cocktail was really tasty. My husband had the Bandida and said it was great also.
So I haven't been here in years but figured I'd try it out again tonight. It was good. Above average. I ordered the beef fajitas. I believe I read they use a filet cut. While tender, it is definitely not one of my favorite cuts. Low marble, not very forgiving. You have to really cook it perfectly to balance rendering the hard fat without cooking it tough. Ironically, outside skirt is one of my favorites. Why they don't just do the outside skirt really well is beyond me but I digress.
The filet fajitas was flavored more by the grill than by the marinade. The char had a decent flavor but the rest of it was just kind of bland. Tortillas were perfect as well as the rice and beans. I was really hoping for nearly perfect fajitas for the price they charge but honestly, I think Lupe Tortilla is better. Better cut of meat (although I hate how they mangle it through their tenderizer), and a ton more flavor. So...
02/16 we make the trips here for the menudo. I'm not sure what happened to their recipe, but i will no longer make the trip. WORST menudo EVER Other than that everything is great!OLD REVIEW: This location is FAR from us, but it keeps us coming back! Great ambiance, wonderful & prompt, friendly service, perfect margaritas😉 the fajita meat is thick, juicy & oh so good! Fresh handmade corn & flour tortillas and green rice are a favorite!

I’ve been here so many times. It used to be so good until the quality went downhill. So I’m updating my review. They’ve went from selling the best fajitas to serving overcooked and dry ones. I’ll still come here to get drinks but somewhere along the way the quality of food has gone downhill.

Only giving 5 stars for the manager. He’s amazing. Came in for nachos on valentines. They were okay. I asked for no beans and no jalapeno came with it anyways. Asked for my child’s food to be ground beef on quesadilla request was also ignored. Brought it to my waiters attention twice and he ignored it…. Also asked for pineapple juice he brought apple juice. They manager randomly stopped by our table I asked for my check and he took my son’s meal off our bill since he did not touch the food. Customer service was not great: felt like we were out of place and not paying customers. Thank you for having such a caring manager that pays attention to his customers!

The Margaritas were excellent! The fajitas and floutas were good too. Our friends got the ribs and they loved them too.
Parking was tight, but we got there early enough that it wasn't an issue, but when we left others were struggling to find parking.
Will definitely come back, and we drove from Katy to meet up with friends. Food, drinks and service was great.
