Creative salads and crudo menu and cocktails. Pizza was good. Warm and cozy place but loud if crowded.

I don't even know where to begin for this place. I was driving around town to where I would treat myself for brunch and wanted pizza. I came across Elro and decided to try it out. They have parking across the street that's free with plenty of space. When I walked in, I kinda felt like I was Alice in Wonderland chasing the hare!! The wallpaper and decor was everything!!! I was immediately greeted by a warm smile from one of the staff named Purity she is fabulous! I sat down on a bench sort of area with a perfect amount of natural light. I was immediately made to feel comfortable. I regretted not bringing my book that I had just purchased from Kindred Stories... but that's for another review. It's an open kitchen concept. I love watching the artistry of food prep! Since I was treating myself, I tried something from each of the menu sections and got great suggestions. The spicy cucumbers are so refreshingly crisp and tasty, the Snapper crudo with mango puree was perfect, the mushroom pizza was like a mini orgasm in my mouth... smokey shiitakes the perfect amount of sauce and the cheese with olive oil drizzle atop and just the right amount of rosemary... I'm drooling yall. The 10th Avenue drink was pretty potent yet refreshing. I may be a lightweight, or it was strong. I had maybe 1/4th of the drink, and I was buzzed. I finished off with the Tira-Miso, which was an interesting spin to the tiramisu light and crispy with an umami taste. I loved how I felt after leaving since I wasn't rolling out of the place overstuffed. I will definitely be coming back and recommend yall try 12/10!

The waitstaff was extremely helpful and ensured that a friend with a gluten allergy found items on the menu to eat.

We were really excited to try Elro, because it featured two of our favorite foods: pizza and crudo! We've driven by several times, so we've also seen their nice patio and flagged it as a place to come back when the weather is nice out. We tried to figure out if their patio is dog friendly - but unfortunately it wasn't written anywhere or mentioned in any of the reviews, and they don't appear to have a phone number to reach them. So we figured most Houston patios are dog friendly and we took our pup. Turns out they're not. Apparently they're waiting for some permitting to allow dogs. So that was a bummer. We dropped our pup off at home and came back. They have great parking which is caddycorner to the restaurant. We got seats in the Jewel Bar, which was nice. The restaurant has a nice, cozy atmosphere inside. We got a couple of cocktails, which were decent. We then got the sourdough bruschetta. I really like whipped ricotta, but we thought this was pretty average. It has cold pickled veggies on top, which just gave it a weird taste. Probably would be better if the ricotta wasn't topped on the bread because it's pretty messy to eat too. We got the smoked kampachi, which was good. Tasted fresh and the pumpkin seeds and the squash were a different taste than we have had. Would have liked it to be a bit more flavorful though. We shared the mushroom pizza, which was okay but nothing to write home about. It had an interesting Smokey flavor and the rosemary was a nice touch, but overall just fine. We were hoping we could split two pizzas half-and-half, but they won't do that. Lastly got the Tira-miso, since we love tiramisu. It was interesting, but mostly just felt like eating a bunch of mousse rather than tiramisu. Service was okay - our waitress was friendly and attentive, but picked up drinks before we were done with them. Altogether, an okay an experience and likely won't be back.

Cute Italian restaurant! Love the ambience and decor, perfect for a girls dinner. Ordered the mozzarella, mushroom, and sausage pizza. The pizza dough was light and the toppings were fresh, loved the sausage pizza. For dessert, we got the tira-miso, a mousse version of tiramisu. It was very light and had a lot of flavor!

Cute neighborhood restaurant. I had some high expectations as this place was recommended by so many people, especially the softserves. However, nothing amazed me. The best thing we had was the meatball sub. The bread was crunchy and very flavorful. We also got 2 types of crudo and a pizza. The soft serve was just normal. However, the peanut on top were quite old, so they had that smell/taste, which took away the flavor of the ice cream. Plus, it was called maraschino, but I didn't get any of it, just ice cream chocolate and old peanut sprinkle

We had a great experience at Elro. We sat inside (there is not a lot of seating inside so make sure you make a reservation) and loved the ambience. We got the arancini which was ok and the Guanciale pizza which was phenomenal. We also topped it off with soft serve which was incredible. I highly recommend stopping by Elro.

A bit pricey for what you get. The pizza was soggy and not good. Nice atmosphere though.
