We ordered a pitcher of margarita and happy hour bites, then ordered combo of Fajitas. The Margharita was very weak, there were only two of us and neither one of us could taste any liquor nor felt any effects. The fajita was terrible, chewy and fatty heavily seasoned but horrible. Worst $100 we spent in a long time. The " Guacamole " that came with the meal was green paste... don't very much it was fresh nor an actual avocado. Would NOT recommend this restaurant.

We dine at Escalantes on Myerland at least two or three times a month, and we love it. Other Escalantes are actually closer to us, but we drive to this one because of the outstanding service. From the hosts to the waiters to the bus staff, we are always treated kindly and quickly. (We especially love Berenice!) Because of an allergy, we often make special requests, and they are always taken seriously. And the flour tortillas are amazing!

This was the first time coming here. We came on superbowl weekend and the place was not full. The servers were very kind and attentive. We ordered the following: Tacos al Carbon (beef fajita) which came with your choice of cilantro rice/Mexican rice, and Charro beans/refried beans, guacamole and pick de gallo. The rice and refried beans were very bland, no flavor whatsoever. The charro beans had no charro about it. Just beans in bean sauce. The guacamole which came with the order was just smashed avocado. We also ordered alambres with chimichurri sauce which came with your choice of rice and beans. It didn’t have quite the taste of chimichurri. It was just a runny sauce with no flavor. My brother ordered the beef fajitas which also came with rice and beans. The fajita beef was ok. The meat was warm and the plate it came on (skillet) was not even sizzling. It looked like they just placed the meat on the skillet. The only item we had which was good, was the chips and salsa. All I have to say is, we will not be returning ever again.
