This place is adorable and the food is amazing! Our waitress highly recommended the biscuits which were the best I've had in my life. My friend and I split the fried chicken and catfish plate with brussel sprouts and mac n cheese, everything was on point. One star taken off for the slow service, we waited an unusually long time for our food.

The perfect place to celebrate one of my best friend’s birthday. From the time we were greeted at the door to leaving everyone was pleasant and the food…… 10 out of 10! All of our food was hot and delicious!

Went to this place last night for a late dinner with my friend Jen. I’ve been passing this place for months but never got a chance to stop. I’m so glad my friend had a craving for chicken when she came here from Dallas. We called and made a reservation and needless to say it was the best call I made this week. We had the fish and chicken combo, and it was phenomenal. The chicken was hot, fresh, and I know my granny was back there frying it herself. The fish was great. Coated just right. I ordered the collard greens, but they were a bit salty. My server wasted no time replacing them with some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. Oh…. Lord that peach crumble. Baby sweet baby Jesus it was good. My only problem is I wasn’t offered some of these biscuits. I WANT MY BISCUITS. This was a great experience. I will be back SOON. I WANT MY BISCUITS TOO.

We loved our time here, the food was AMAZING, the staff was friendly, and the wine is on sale on Thursdays! We had oysters, the best brussel sprout salad I’ve ever had, and perfect gumbo as appetizers and the Red Fish and Shrimp and Grits for entrees that were cooked wonderfully. We can’t wait to come back!

Where do I begin... Gatlins Fins & Feathers is hands down NOW one of my favorite places to dine! The space feels like home, the food tastes like grandma best meal, the waitresses ooze love and the service time was top tier, one of the fastest at a southern-style restaurant, that I've experienced, to date. Needless to say, I will be back.
Visited the Saturday after Thanksgiving around 2 pm.
Food- 9.8/10 (the only reason for 9.8 is sweet grits)

Food was salty and lacked flavor. I saw alot of seasoning, but it is just for show on the skin. The service was decent, but I never got my drink (still was charged for it). The ambience is the best part.

Had my wife Sarah birthday brunch on the 17th and i will tell you the food the service was superb the food first let me say the service the young lady that took care of us all 13 if i ever open restaurant you're coming with me all i can say is thank you for your service I'm not rich but i hope my tip reflected my sincere thank you now the food that chicken wow enough said. I really appreciate all your efforts in making my family's experience at your establishment a wonderful experience

The Ladies of Black Meals Matter had an absolutely wonderful time at Gatlin’s Fins and Feathers! Chef Darius cooked wonderful meals for us: Fish, wings, Gumbo, Shrimp, Crab Nachos, Red Beans and Rice, Greens, Cornbread, etc. IT WAS ALL DELICIOUS 😋! Server Laurie was outstanding! The drinks were awesome! We highly recommend Gatlin’s Fins and Feathers!!!

I hadn’t been here in a while and I was sadly disappointed. Chicken fried in old oil, extremely salty. Red beans and rice was not made fresh. Collards were over salty. What happened? It used to be so good. I will not return.

If you have not been to this fantastic restaurant then you are missing out! Excellent service, excellent staff, and great food. I had the fried catfish( best fried catfish in Houston), side of collard greens and a side of fries. Seasoned perfectly! My Sweets had fried chicken and collard greens and he loved it. Ms. Monique was our server and I loved her. Mr. Chris Gatlin walked around checking on us and greeting his customers. My new seafood spot! Keep up the great work.

I definitely recommend this place. Not only is the food delicious (see ratings in video), but the service was great and had a familial vibe. I can’t wait to try their BBQ spot. Gigi was a GREAT server. I will be back to try other dishes.

This place is a hidden gem. First Off the owner and staff are amazing, but the food....Good Lord! From the homemade biscuits and bacon jelly to the old fashion fried chicken....the best in the city. Flame broiled oysters were great, as well as the Cajun seafood pasta. The red beans and rice...the bomb...smh let me stop. Give this place a visit and you will post a review while eating your food!!
